Not good. But Greece's debt to GDP is 98 percent, well below Japan's and within the range of most OECD countries now. So it's hard to see why they're being singled out. By breaking a few campaign promises, the government should be able to get things back in order.

I hope to God that Greece starts printing Euros to pay off debt.  That should make for some entertaining events!

This is SO exciting watching them implode.  But hey, it is time to SPEND your way out of this mess, eh?

Yes, apocalypse and destruction are sexy...

Well, for Greece as it has been said elsewhere by px75, whom lives in Greece, 1st they will take hard measures, and according to px the people could follow it with discipline, and, if ever this level fails there will always be the Euro group to back them. The problem for Euro group would be if there were several cases, Spain is not good too. Ultimately it remains IMF, but I don't know how healthy their finances are.

As opposed to Dubai (which I consider amusing), Greece is a real problem (as are Ireland, Latvia and a good bit of Europe).

If you don't think it is, look how the Euro has been acting against the dollar over the past couple of weeks.

Nothing, but when the socialist PM must negotiate with the communist opposition, it is entertaining to see the people get what they want and deserve!  But hey, socialism works, and continue spending that money you don't have!
