This election is held in accordance with the 27th Amendment of the Constitution. The election begins at 11:59 P.M. CST, December 10th, and ends at 11:59 P.M. CST, December 13th.

2. On official ballots, all candidates shall be listed with their regional party first, followed by endorsements from any other regional parties, followed by the candidate's federal party, followed by endorsements from any other federal parties.
3. All official endorsements must be transmitted by a party official to the Governor prior to the opening of voting in order to be listed on the ballot.

2. In the case of a vacancy in the lieutenant gubernatorial office, the Governor shall appoint a Lieutenant Governor, who shall serve until the next normally scheduled time for initiatives, at which point a special election for the office shall be held.
3. There shall be no special election for Lieutenant Governor if the next scheduled time for initiatives coincides with an election for Lieutenant Governor.
4. Should the positions of Governor and Lieutenant Governor be vacant at the same time, a special election shall be held the following weekend to fill both vacancies.
5. The above clause shall not apply if there is less than one week before the next election for Governor.

1. In the past 5 years nearly the entire coast line of the region has been hit by a hurricane.  Since 1980, hurricanes have caused over $1 Billion in damage.
2. Coastal Wetlands help reduce hurricane storm surge but are disappearing at a rate of 25 square miles a year and even faster when hit by a major hurricane, largely because of the salt water from the gulf.
3. People who stay home during a hurricane are more likely to be killed than those who evacuate during a hurricane.

Actions
Funding shall be equally divided towards the following:
1. Restore Coastlines & Wetlands Projects
   a. Christmas Tree Program - Starting in the second week of January, Christmas trees can be placed curbside and will be picked up. These trees shall be used to create a brush fence to help with restoration. (more information)
2. Improvement of Levees & Flood Control Projects to be able to withstand category 5 hurricanes

Funding
A two mill property tax shall be assessed on all properties less than 50 miles from the Gulf Coast or Atlantic Coast.

Evacuation - Get Traffic Flowing Outward
When impact from a hurricane is expected in 36 hours, the region shall activate a contraflow along the interstate, heading outward from the metro area(s) nearest to the expected point of landfall.
