Palin shoots big scary guns, and is a facsist in a skirt, just like Bush.  She scare me!

Hopefully Dennis Kuicinich.  Obama is turning into a pro-war fascist who kills innocent muslims, just like Bush.

Let it begin.

Incorrect: I am a fascist.

Correct: Antonio V is a fascist and supports censorship.

There's a legitimate argument to be made that Bush's economic policies were fascist.

No there isn't. Bush didn't consolidate the power of the nation's economy into 22 corporations did he? No.

Giulani is the skirt-wearer. Bush is a manly man, who was a cheerleader in college.

"A political regime, having totalitarian aspirations, ideologically based on centralized government, government control of business, repression of criticism or opposition, a leader cult and exalting the state and/or religion above individual rights."

Sounds like Bush.

I don't like Bush either, but he wasn't a totalitarian. Please do use some perspective.

Allowing gays to marry (and not sending them to death camps) is "fascist".

Socialism is "fascist".  Communism is even more so.

Jesse Owens was the 'fascist' runner in the Berlin Olympics.

Bush was probably the closest to a fascist that a relatively liberal democracy like ours can see without first undergoing significant structural warping.

This is true. But the distance between him and fascism remains enormous.

Seriously, fascism is used once correctly for every 100 times it is used incorrectly. Bush was hardly fascist, no US Presidnt was.

Bush's economic policy was very nearly the definition of corporatism: providing State financial aid to select businesses to give them a heads-up on their competitors.

No American President has been fascist. Many of them, however, fit certain of the criteria. Bush was probably the closest, with Reagan, Wilson, and McKinley not terribly far behind.

He was indeed one of the closer ones, though he still wasn't close to being fascist.

Bush was nowhere near fascism.  There are Obama/Geithner/Bernanke policies that, in isolation, come close to fitting the bill.  Woodrow Wilson, on the other hand, is probably the best candidate for a "fascist President."

The policies of both Obama and Bush border closely upon fascism.
