Is there any way 2012 can mark the death of the Religious Right?

Could we see more libertarian elements of the GOP take power?

Will the statists in AR and WV and KY go back to the Democrats?

Now, I don't advocate, say, removing the pro-life plank from the platform. Just some changes on issues like gay rights, War on Drugs, DADT, and "terrorism." The Republicans need to look less like statists and more like freedom-supporting conservatives.

The ACLU has done some good things, like their PATRIOT Act case. They deserve to be recognized for that.
