First of all, my name is Deldem, not Deldm. I'd like that to be clear.

Second, how the  am I a zombie WHEN I RAN FOR OFFICE. I post regularly in the forum at large, and also vote in pretty much every referendum in my region. Bottom line, this list is awful.

Simply put, I don't belong on this list, and I defy you to justify my inclusion on it.

The definition of "zombie" is quite meaningless, and anyone you want can be a zombie. I think that that's what this list is trying to demonstrate.

I don't believe posting in the forum at large helps Atlasia, I believe you need to post (not just vote) in Atlasia to help Atlasia.

If you disagree with my definition of zombie (which is now someone who does not post - not counting votes - in Atlasia in the last 4 months, save very short spammy posts) then start your own newspaper Tongue

edit - so hence by posting here, you are no longer a zombie.

More importantly, this I believe to be meaningless. If Nym90 had never de-registered, and had always voted, he would be a zombie too. Saying "I was once ____" and so am not a zombie, to me, sounds like "Newbies mean less"

I define zombie as someone who is inactive now. Under my old definition - 5 posts in 2 months - Earl almost qualified as a zombie. I will, however, be reworking the list to be 0 posts over 4 months. If THAT bar is too high for people, then I really dont know what to say.

I'm fine with that second qualification. Also, I think running in the last election (which I did) is a little different than running in one a few months ago.

NOTE - We've decided to exclude party convention threads as they include very much voting.

Is Torie a Zombie?
In the whole entire time between August 1 and today, Torie made a grand total of one (1) post in Atlasia that was not in the voting booth. this one
https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=105637.msg2242682#msg2242682
And therefore, Torie is NOT a Zombie.

Is FallenMorgen a Zombie?
He has posted more than once in Atlasia that qualifies, including debating the name of the ARC.
Therefore, FallenMorgen is  NOT a Zombie.

Is BRTD a zombie?
He In the 1000 posts he made between August 1 and October 1, he made one (1) qualifying post, explaining that he has not recently PMed anyone with regard to the Atlas. BRTD is therefore NOT a Zombie. We salute you sir and hope you continue to contribute at least 0.1% of your work here at the atlas to this game!

Is Cosmo Kramer a zombie?
Nope. He managed to post a few times. Therefore he is NOT a Zombie.

Is Bob a zombie?
Nope. He posted 3 times in this thread https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=106649.msg2268433#msg2268433 and once here https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=106649.msg2268433#msg2268433 where due to punctuation, he made the 25 character limit. God bless punctuation, and may you continue to use to to make long posts as you sir, are NOT a Zombie.

Is Deldem a zombie?
By posting here challenging the definition, he proves that he is paying attention to the game, and therefore, is NOT a Zombie.

Is Senator Conor Flynn a zombie?
As above, he is paying attention to the game, and responded here. Therefore, he is also NOT a Zombie.

CONGRATULATIONS MEN! YOU ARE FREE TO GO
I SALUTE YOU

This is all quite fascinating to me, and I understand the dilemma. However, if a poster is active elsewhere, and knows the personalities, not posting in Atlasia, does not mean that voter is uninformed, and just some dorm mate or some such, who is induced to sign up to Leips, and then vote for his pal or whatever. Perhaps a list of voters who are largely inactive on Leips in general would be of interest.

One other thought. The supreme orgasmic experience here seems to be the elections themselves, and the excitement of the vote count, and strategic voting and the like. If voters largely inactive on Atlasia are prevented from voting, is there some potential that the vote count will become more predictable, and thus of less interest?

And if the goal is to get more posts made on Atlasia, just how realistic an expectation is it, that posters largely inactive on Atlasia will get active in order to vote. And if the requirement is one post in 4 months, would not one strategy be to PM someone, with the text of a post to make on Atlasia that the poster is asked to copy and paste by the requisite deadline?  Will having a bunch of copy and paste posts written by candidates under the name of someone else, enhance the Atlasia experience for you all?

Anyway, those are my thoughts for the moment. Good luck with your endeavor!  Smiley And by the way, this isn't a copy and paste post written by AHDuke, so I guess I am good to go to vote for him again in the next four months per the one substantive post requirement even if you can otherwise deflect the  zombie copy and paste syndrome.  Tongue

I find the methodology a bit flawed in determining who are, indeed, zombies. For example, you have characters like Libertas and dallasfan and the like, contributing nothing but spam and creating arguments, being considered dutiful, active citizens, while former office holders like Torie are considered useless zombies.

All this "rule" would do is ensure that the ARC, who has the best machine out of all the parties in getting out the zombie vote, will control the elections. Hamilton and his followers can get all their members to post at least once, probably a copy and pasted post, in the forums each month or what have you, and all that would create is useless clutter to an already cluttered Atlasia. But, to each his own, Mr. Teddy.

I dont really post much in the atlas at large, and so I may well be a zombie by the definition of others! If we are to have some official definition of zombie, it must be more than "someone who supports _____" weather that ____ is Hamilton or not.

Is KyleGordon2016 a zombie? Nope. Thanks to this thread https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=101742.msg2139723#msg2139723 I can declare that he is NOT A ZOMBIE

Is titaniumtux a zombie? Nope, he's not one either. He's posted here and there in Atlasia, and so is therefore also NOT A ZOMBIE

Is Ogre Mage a Zombie? Well I checked. And he's voted, quite a bit. He always shows up to vote. He posts, every few days on the Atlas, but has he posted in Atlasia? I checked. He did not post (beyond voting) at all in December. November. October. September... or August! I went further. July, June, and May. That's where it stops. Why? That's where he registered. That's right, he has not even posted once in Atlasia except to vote. Friends we found ourself a real ZOMBIE ZOMBIE ZOMBIE ZOMBIE

The best part is that I took a few days between when I announced the standard (0 posts) and started to dig though the lists, giving people - if they were paying attention - time to de-zombify themselves.

I am announcing that December 19th is now my cut off preventing anyone from calling their zombies to action due to this message. You had your chance Smiley

This list doesn't take into account recent efforts of activity encouragement by the Xahar/???campaign or the ARC as a party.
