That's right.

A public option.

How weak could our President be?  60 votes in the Senate and he couldn't get it done.  Don't even try to convince me that he didn't set out for a public option.  This was the main goal all the liberals wanted and now it's all over.

This speaks volumes about the President's leadership.  If he can't even lead members of his own party, how's he going to lead this country in times of crisis?  Let's hope there isn't an even bigger crisis facing this nation during his administration.

Failure on pushing socialized insurance/intro to single payer on America?

YES.

Universal Healthcare failed! Obama is doomed to lose an epic electoral landslide just like what happened to Clinton in 1996!

Not to be nit picky, but isn't this the wrong venue for this kind of topic?  The urge I guess to have one's policy musings in the klieg lights of the Forum Community section of our site, is just too irresistible to eschew.

I don't think ECR care about this.

Uhhh Obama's party has 58 members in the Senate, not sixty.  Whether they caucus with the Democrats or not they still are not Democrats.  Learn to count dumbass.

Just out of formality. Isn't Liberman still a registered Democrat (not a caucus member)?

And when ECR passes, none will mourn him.

After all, caring about the well being of other people is strictly a liberal vice.

Amusing really.

If Obama had found a way to push through the public option, you'd now be complaining about presidential abuse of power or some other s**t.

Lieberman is a member of the Lieberman for Lieberman Party.

No, it was electoral vechicle, just like AIP was Wallace's (he was not member of AIP either).

I'm not talking about caucus. Is Joe still formall registered Democrat?

Yet when Franken got in the liberal media was proclaiming Supermajority along with your masters over at Dailykos.  Don't lie to me: you consider it to be 60 votes.  Your techinical defense and gloss over Obama's failure shows how desperate you really are.  You calling me dumbass shows I really upset you.

And when ECR passes, none will mourn him.

After all, caring about the well being of other people is strictly a liberal vice.

Wishing morbid actions on me at the time of my death.  Once again, it's easy to tell when I have defeated the dailykos liberals here on this website with the backwards colors.  I don't care for people?  Na that's you little boy.

I care about the well being of the people.  This bill is looking pretty good right now.  No public option and no medicare buy in for 55 year olds.  Cherry on top means MY insurance will be cheaper and insurance will be more affordable for those who have it-oh and it'll be easier for those who don't have insurance to get it through a great company like Aetna.

I love Aetna.  Hell, I love the choices I get with my insurance.  They have never let me down and they won't be able to if I ever have a preexisting condition should this bill go through.  So what's wrong with this bill?  Only one thing-tazpayer funded abortions.  Don't worry about that though because Democrat  Bill Nelson is working on that to get it strictly limited to rape/incest.

Get the abortion out and this bill is somewhate decent.  Cost effective?  Oh hell no of course not.  Who would ever fall for such a thing?  More efficient for the industry?  Na probably not.  Helping more people in the best way and not limiting the choices of people for generations to come?

As Governor Palin would say, 'You Betcha!'

No, I call you a dumbass because you are a dumbass.  I would never consider Lieberman a Democrat, he has gone far-right since he was primaried out of the Democratic party.

Aww...

Little baby troll was born on third and likes to think he hit a triple.

It's not that I'm living beyond my means.  It is that living IS beyond my means.  Essentials cost more than I make.  I cannot find better paying employment.  And sociopathic twerps like you rejoice that health insurance costs more than rent.

Yes, I'm pissed.  Pissed and desperate.  (and dumb enough to rant on a public forum so you can get your jollies pretending that you're better than everyone else).

I don't believe in a hell, but some days I wish there was one for people like you who delight in the suffering and misery of others.

Well this at least this 'dumbass' realizes that the President has hurt his party and greatly damaged his popularity through his mismangement of the health care bill.  Now the so-called progressives whine like the world is ending when in reality this bill is the best one in the process so far.

Lieberman primaried out of the party and Democrats lost the senate seat in Connecticut.  You want to talk about Republican fracturing?  I haven't seen a fracture in the R party that bad since what went down in CT.  You get what you wish for when you punish a moderate of your party-hmm that means no public option!

So tell me again, who's the real dumbass here?

Oh you're 42.

In that case, you should be thanking the President since he's passing a bill which will make coverage more affordable for you.

However, don't expect me to give up what I and others have worked very hard for because you have problems.  This country doesn't beleive in socialism and others should not have to suffer because you cannot afford insurance.  The whole point of health care reform if to work towards a goal in which care is improved for EVERYONE-not where the care of those who cannot afford all coverage is granted while the choices of the vast majority are serverely limited.  You are selfish.  And you want me to go to hell?  For a 43 year old you have the maturity of a 12 year old freaking out over an F on an English paper.
