So, of course, it makes perfect sense to support the Republican Party. I'm not trying to be an ass, but is your dad on unemployment? Do you know how the GOP feels about unemployment insurance?

How many times do I have to go through this? I am not stupid, I know perfectly well what the GOP wants to do with Unemployement but one issue is not going to make me change parties when you consider the following facts. I belong in the party, I oppose Cap-n-Trade, Oppose current Health Care proposals, I oppose Amnesty for Illegal alliens, I support three bracket Tax code with a 25% corporate tax, I am for Free Trade with certain exceptions, I support partial privatization of Social Security, I am Pro-Life, I oppose gun control, I oppose legalization of drugs, porn, prostitution, and I support the Death Penalty. I supported "a" stimulus, the minimum wage, unemployement insurance, Civil Unions, and strict new Financial Regulations. Five issues where I disagree with the GOP compared to about 15 where I agree with them. Guess what, most sane Republicans with a chance of winning nationwide agree with me on those last five. I am perfectly in line with my party.

You sound a lot like a Bob Casey Sr. Democrat.  Though your economic score surprises me.

Atleast you recognise the Pennsylvanianess of those positions. Smiley THough I have much respect for the late great Bob Casey Sr, I don't think I qualify as a Bob Casey Sr. Democrat because, My tax positions are enough to give any Democrat a Heart Attack and thus the economic score. I still support Deregulation across most industries, I just feel as a French official said, the financial sector is different because, "we need them". I support Free Trade with most countries. I just support taken actions against those that don't play fair and I oppose Nafta over Sovereignty issues.

I know you're still far more economically conservative than Casey Sr. who was borderline socialist.  I'd still give him a B+ as Governor despite my differences on social positions and his rolling out the red carpet for Santorum.  But I can see the 'Pennsylvanianess' in your ideology for a lot of Republicans I know take some populist economic positions, but you differ on NAFTA which a lot of those Repubs take a protectionist almost Pat Buchanan-like stance.

Yea. I used to be a protectionist till about 2007 but now I only support reflexive measures against those that cheat on trade like China and I oppose most Trade deals on technicallities not actuall opposition to Free Trade.

It'd be nice if you or BRTD could take over this thing. I have a feeling our troll friend won't be following through on it any time soon.
