Wilson isn't as bad in the health area as he was in OTL and mounts his run for a third term. In a divisive campaign, Wilson barley beats back his nemesis for this fight, William J. Byran for the nomination. Byran would choose afterwords to not endorse the Democratic ticket for 1920. The Republicans have their own war for the nomination and end up nominating Leonard Wood for President and Governor Henry J. Allen for VP. With this in hand, Hiram Johnson and Robert La Follette, Sr. joins forces and run on a joint revived Progressive Party ticket.

What occurs in this battle for the White House? Do the Republicans sweep into office with their "Wooden Candidate" or will an insurgent Progressives allow an unprecedented third term victory for the unpopular Wilson? Discuss, with maps if you wish.

Agree. Very good and balanced map.

No one could save Democrats in 1920.
