I've done this before at a smaller forum, and I'd be curious to do it here.
In short, this is how this will work.
You (hopefully) will post here and sign up to the game.
After a few days, or, when sign ups die down, I will PM to everyone who has signed up a list of 21 political questions.
You will respond to me via PM within 24, or 48 hours.
I will then list the results of the answers to the questions here in this thread.
> Why?
I have a theory that people who feel a certain way on certain issues may also feel the same way on others. I also feel that there are a number of "natural" groupings for people to fit into politically, and this will help me test the theory.
> What questions can I expect?
Examples (and these WONT be questions) would be "Do you support abortion, yes or no" or "What is better, Deficits or Tax Increases" They will force you to pick one side or the other on controversial issues. Some of the questions might put you in a difficult moral situation, and that is what they are designed to do
> Can I refuse to answer?
This will work best if everyone answers all 21 questions, but I will allow two "skip" questions for everyone, but very strongly request that if you must use you, you only use one.
> Can/Must I share my answers in public?
When I have finished, I will put the results into a table and post them. Your answers will become public at that time. I request that you do NOT share your answers with anyone until then as to not accidentally influence their own answers.
> You are up to something!
Not really. As I said I've done this before, and there are a few people who refused to participate due to the theory that I was "up to something" with these questions. My main purpose here is to see if people can indeed be easily grouped by their answers, and though that, prove or disprove my theory that the same sort of political parties will always form naturally.
