Do we know for a fact that relatively cheap, high deductible health insurance will no longer be available after 2013? In other words does the Senate bill actually force me to buy more insurance than I want or need. If so, thanks a lot Democrats. Couldn't they just have required everyone to buy high deductible insurance as part of the personal mandate? (I'm guessing that would be too simple and cost effective?).
This seems like a situation where before you could just go into your local chinese restaurant and buy the barebones and inexpensive lunch special. Now, looks like we are being mandated to purchase a drink, appetizer, an entree and dessert, when all we want is the hunan beef with steamed rice lunch special for 5.75 instead of a three/four course 20$ dollar monstrosity.
