Peter Allen Price was born on June 5, 1961 in Richmond, Virginia. He, from an early age, was very intelligent. He also stood out as being more liberal than almost all his classmates. However, he could easily relate to the common man, like Jim Folsom. (Or Jefferson Dent.) He was elected to the State House in 1984 and served for 4 years. He was then elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, and served 8 years until being elected U.S. Senator in 1997. He became Minority Leader in 2005, and Majority Leader in 2009 when the Democrats took back the Senate. He's been called "the next LBJ" for his work as Majority Leader, including getting a public option passed in 2011 (It's been very successful since.) and getting stricter gun control laws in 2010 (which nearly got him defeated that year.) Pete Price is thought of as a potential candidate in either 2016 or 2020.
