We are about to enter a new decade in 9 1/2 days.  We had 3 Presidents in the decade of the 2000s, William Jefferson Clinton until January 20, 2001, George Walker Bush until January 20, 2009, Barack Hussein Obama since January 20, 2009.

We know that each decade has a minimum of two presidents as one president can only serve maximum of 9 years 364 days (if the preceding president dies, or becomes unable to perform his or her duties, a day into the second half of his term).

Will President Obama be in office through January 20, 2017, thus leaving room for only 1 more president in the decade?  Will he be defeated in 2012 with his successor re-elected in 2016? Or will Obama be defeated in 2012, his successor being defeated in 2016, thus leaving room for a third administration in the last 3 years of the decade?  Or, God forbid, will we have a shortened administration somehow opening the door for a 4th president?

Another question, who will be the 2nd and/or 3rd Presidents?

Not quite sure, although currently I'd guess Option 1.

Option 1, Obama will win much narrower than he did in 2008 and manages to win the presidency again, as long as the economy isn't above 7.5 percent and the republicans win in 2016.
