would be completely unecessary if 3 or 4 Republicans promised their support of the bill.  Since it's going to pass anyway, why not save a few hundred million of our dollars and tell Dodd, Landrieu and Nelson (and others) to go fuck themselves?

Blame both parties (as it's always the case) for wasting our money............as usual.

Most of those "bribes" (for the lack of a better term) will probably be dropped when the two Congressional bills are merged, so it's a non issue.  However, I don't see the combined bill ever passing both sides of Congress as it is, and if it does, it will be much later into the Spring session that Congress will put it on the back burner so it won't become a lightning rod during Congressional re-election campaigns.
