Considering how party switchers are treated by the majority party, it makes no sense for anyone to switch unless it's basically absolutely necessary to get reelected like Griffith. There aren't very many others like that. Bright from Alabama as well is about it. Anyone else like Carney, Shuler, Minnick, etc. would never win the primary.
