In 1978, Big Jim Folsom unexpectedly decides to make a political comeback, running for his old job, Governor of Alabama.

In 1980, Folsom beats Carter in the primary. In the Republican primary, Reagan decides not to run, and Big Jim Thompson wins the nomination.

Anderson is not running.

Which Big Jim wins?

Big Jim Thomspon of Illinois wins since people blame the other Big Jim for Carter's economic problems. Too lazy to do a map though. The EV is probably like 300-350 EV for Big Jim Thompson.
