That's a hard choice, Wilson or Roosevelt ....
could we have both
Wilson gets the edge since TR already had his chance
But I'll vote for TR , since he was a proven leader. Which the country would need since war was on the horizon ....

I always wondered what it would have been like if Teddy had been President during WWI.

I think you meant to say why *did* he run again.
He ran again because he was pissed at taft, as was the Progressive wing of the Republican Party at the time. Roosevelt challenged taft at the 1912 GOP convention, but Taft won the nomination narrowly. So, TR formed his own progressive party and ran for President.

No why didn't he keep building up the Progressive Party after 1912.
He should have picked LaFollette as his running mate in 1912, and kept him from endorsing Wilson.

Oh. LaFollette didn't run until 1924, when TR was dead...

I'm a little surprised that Wilson is barely beating Debs. I'm even more surprised that they isn't any overwhelming support for Chafin

I voted Taft, although I did that since I am a Republican. But, TR would have also gotten my vote.
