I recorded the debate from last night. I'm only twenty minutes into it and I'm dumbfounded. I'm wondering how many brain cells I've killed by watching this train wreck.

You have Angle stumbling over every word and avoiding direct questions. Then there's the esteemed Majority Leader talking about "Baseball players wearing pink shoes...and you see the Football players having pink helmets." But wait! Did Harry Reid just give us a colonoscopy visual? You bet he did.

The "Ted Stevens: Series of Tubes" moment of the debate: "Colonoscopies...if you do colonoscopies, colon cancer does not come because you snip off the things they find when they go up and...no more."

My God.

Angle was a little better in the second half of the debate than the first, but, yeah, it was dreadful.  One of the worst debates I've seen this cycle.

One of the worst debates I've seen this cycle.

Or one of the worst ever.

I was reading an analysis that said both candidates sucked, but Angle come out the slight winner overall.

Every analysis I've read, even those on the left like The New Republic, think Harry Reid lost.

Sounds like the 2008 Vice-Presidential Debate.

Angle appeared to have been, if not quite coherent, at least fully medicated.

I did not see any "this goes straight into an attack ad" moments on either side.

On the merits, a modest Angle win.

Strategically, Angle did no harm, and did not look (totally) crazy, so she wins big.

I would put her a slight favorite now to win, expect her poll numbers to move 3 ish points or so.
