I'd say Yes. And for this scenario, assume everyone knows that the candidate is a virgin.

Yeah, sure. In 1876, one almost won.

No, not enough experience in screwing people.

The candidate could admit it himself/herself or could strongly hint to it.

How is that a bad thing? By the way, lame attempt at humor. I find Yo Mama jokes funnier.

Pardon the dry humour.
Actually to be quite serious, I think that I would actually vote for a virgin because it is likely that the reason why they would be a virgin if they were in politics is because they have devoted their life to it, in other words politics is their spouse, their soulmate. So it is likely that they have a very intimate and well researched idea and policy of how to run things.
Just my take.

What he said was funny, I've never heard a genuinely funny yo mama joke...

Yo mama's so dumb, I saw her reading an aspirin bottle outside of the courthouse and asked her what she was doing, and she said she was studying for her drug test...

Many believe today that's not true. Tilden said he had never had sex with a woman. Note the wording...a homosexual winning back then would be just as impressive though.

Ah, really? I've heard he was gay, but I've only got a skewed version of the events that I have read online. I've always believed him asexual, but gay makes much more sense now that I think about it...

You sure he was gay? Because the fact that he never slept with a woman does not mean that he has slept with a man. He could have slept with neither, and it is possible that he never had any sexual desires or sexual passion throughout his life. That's the definiton of being asexual.

I wouldn't have a problem with the candidate being a virgin at all, unless they were a virgin because of some severe defect in their personality that would affect their abilities in office.

Sure - I don't see how it's even remotely relevant.

Candidate virginity or lack of thereof is not an issue for me, period.

Almost as irrelevant as whether or not the candidate used to work in the sex industry.

Why not?  Because if he's old enough to run for office and is still a virgin he's a sick madman.

He could be without the proper equipment, if you know what I mean.

I think most of our current elected officials now have defunct equipment due to their advanced ages, but the point is that they were normal enough human males (and a very few females) to actually have sex back when they were young enough to do so.   Its an important part of being a healthy/stable/sane person, I do believe.
