It said in the article that she is being urged to run by her father Guy Molinari and Rudy Giuliani. However I had thought he had died and thats why she ran to succeed him in the House, way back. Guess not.

I read the news, this is extremely exciting. If she runs, and hopefully she will, the Republicans will have a very credible nominee to take out Gillibrand.

Isn't he like the only elected member of the Conservative Party of New York?

I don't think she'd stand a chance, but I sure she'd do well among the mob vote.

That being said, right now I'm pretty close to backing a ham sandwich over Gillibrand, so she could get my vote.

Would she have a chance at the Conservative Party nomination, considering she's pro-choice and pro-gay rights?

She'd have a fairly unusual perspective on gay marriage.

No probably not, but she might nab the Independence Party nod.

I think the Conservative party might end up like the Liberal party really. They failed to prevent Mangano from wining the Nassau CE and a bunch of other moderate Republicans from winning in the NY Suburbs. What purpose do they serve. If all they can get is two Congressman who are Republicans first(King and Lee) and the State Island Burough President which is worthless. Eventually you would hope they would do us all a favor and self destruct.

Depends on how many strings her father could pull.  On the issues alone, I would say no, but the old man still has a ton of power, so who knows?

Well now that She and King won't run, who will Republicans put up? Perhaps they will rally behind Liz Feld since she is the only one left basically by default. Unless of course someone else can enter into the race.
