Looks like there are more places to get a gun in Nassau county.

Google Maps puts it at 250-180 in favor of strip clubs...

Strip clubs. Bilbao has over 350.000 inhabitants (the metro area more than 1 million) and I don't know any gun store.

Just pure gun stores.. that mostly sell just guns?  0

No strip clubs either.

But there are like 5 or 6 stores that sell guns... hunting rifles make up 95% of that, of course.

Hampton Roads has

- 613 gun shops(including pawn shops and sporting goods stores that sell guns)
- 26 Strip Clubs

It's a military town, what can I say...

San Diego strikes me as one place that has a lot of both.

Might be gun stores.  I can count five strip clubs off the top of my head.  And I think there are at least that many gun stores.

None, it appears. The Google Maps results get flooded by strip clubs in nearby NYC, though.

None of either in Chapel Hill, but in nearby Durham - 6 gun stores (or at least stores that sell guns) vs. 4 strip clubs.

Anyone else agree this is a good liberal vs. conservative test of a city?

Same amount - none of each. I can't imagine a worse demographic for strip clubs, and gun shops are not far behind.  Smiley

No, it is more of a class issue, assuming that you don't live in a city large enough, and diverse enough,  to have "everything."

Yeah, but not really a good Democrat vs. Republican test. Norfolk is heavily Democrat, but we have more gun shops(if we're including pawn shops and sporting good stores, which has a lot to do with the demographics of the city). We still have quite a few strip clubs in the area though. Again, we have the largest Navy base in the world, so that throws everything out of whack.

I think Florida might be a place where the test really runs into trouble actually...

Actually I don't remember seeing that many gun shops in Tulsa (unless you count retail giants like Wal-Mart and Target as "gun shops"), but I do remember seeing quite a few strip clubs. Somebody please do a google map thing because frankly the directions on how to use it confuse me, I would appreciate it.

Incidentally a Google maps search for the "strip club" category only produced a list of 17 gay strip clubs in NYC.  For some reason regular strip clubs are categorized as "Adult Entertainment Clubs".

I have a better site for this than Google Maps. Unfortunately I can't post the link because it's full of ads for porn sites and is very NSFW. But Tulsa has 10 according to it.

Out of curiosity check that site to see if a place called Cafe Royale comes up in Farmingdale, NY.  It shows up as a Restaurant using google maps for some strange reason.

I haven't been there, drive past it fairly often.  Was just wondering since I noticed it was listed as a Restaurant on google maps.

That's an interesting question. I would say there are more strip clubs, if most gangsters didn't actually posses legal weapons. And considering that weapons shop are not right in the center of the city and they're not  advertising much, it's possible that there indeed more gun shops.
