5. Masséna
6. Augereau
7. Bernadotte
8. Brune

Grouchy. Time to get that incompetent fool out Tongue

In fact, he was "a bit late" but Napoleon viewed him, even after Waterloo, as a good one, if not a very good one. Circumstances were more important than Grouchy's personal role.

- Kléber wasn't maréchal de France under Napoleon.
- I haven't counted Hash's second vote: he may have thought Brune was already eliminated.

And, in this round, sure, I vote myself Soult, paragon of opportunism.

A nasty and ambitious traitor.
And he was part of the repression of Vendée.

The problem with Napoleon's marshals is that they were all traitors in the end, except Davout.
Those who came back to support Napoleon during the Cent Jours and betrayed again after that were worse in a way.
In the case of Ney, well, he died for all that and he was a real good military leader, that's why he deserves to remain here for a bit longer, I think.
Lefebvre was probably a good idea, apart from my Augereau vote Wink.
Or Marmont, of course. But he was also a good general.

In a very low turnout (Sad), Madame Sans-Gêne's husband is out... (and, of course, one who took part in the 18 Brumaire coup)

As my Augereau vote isn't very successful for the moment, I try an ambitious traitor:

Marmont

Well, I'm a bit surprised by the ousting of Gouvion-St-Cyr, who was quite a good marshal and not a bad guy. He was a realistic soldier, was able to disagree with Napoleon and was, overall, a patriot more than the servant of the 3 regimes he knew.

I vote for Jourdan again.
