Because I'm too lazy to dig up the old thread...  I went to the doctor on Monday and had a hemoglobin A-1-C test done which measures blood sugars.  The nurse called me this morning and said everything turned out NORMAL!!  So, I can focus on losing weight rather than having to worry about diabetes.

Thank you everyone for your support and prayers.  Keep the prayers coming!!

Hopefully this will be the last I have to share about diabetes!!

Great news. Do you know what your glucose count was?  I would ask for your medical data and keep a file on it. That way you can monitor your changes. Don't count on your doctor to do it. The majority of them are too disorganized to do much more than ask about your medical history, rather than look it up, in part because outside of some HMO's, most of it is not computerized when it comes to medical records, which to me is close to scandalous.

Also, my blood pressure is down to 120/70, which is normal!!  It hasn't been this low in almost three years.  The medicine is really helping me, plus I'm not eating as many salty foods and my stress level has drastically been reduced in the past 9 days.

I've cut my fast food down to once a week as opposed to nearly every night.  It has helped not only on my physical health, but its also cheaper.

I've also really increased my fruits.  I'm having generally 1-2 fruits a day, which is still not where I need to be, but its better than what I have been doing.

I'm going to the grocery store tomorrow morning to stock up for the next couple weeks.

I've only lost about 3 1/2 pounds in the past two weeks, but that will come in time.
