Wow... Congratulations for this splendid list !
What a work to "scan" history of all the states and to pick the real big ones, while trying to balance the decades and the countries !
Well, nothing much to say, really.
Some may argue that Carlos Salinas (Mex) or Cesar Gaviria (Col) should have been here, but not so much.
Including Mario Vargas Llosa (especially him) or Javier Perez de Cuellar could have been more discussed but would have entailed other "political" writers or thinkers and other second-tier politicians with international weight.
As for Chile, I'm a bit sceptic about Aylwin or Bachelet (one of the 2 in fact, but not both of them), but it's no worth changing this.
Sub-commandate Marcos or Eden Pastora would have deserved a seat only a "guerilleros" survivor...
Maybe my only regret is ... Abimael Guzman !!!
(Apart from Theodore Roosevelt, of course
)
