Why Tory in '59?
I like Supermac a fair amount, and I've never been much of a Gaitskell fan.

He hated the EEC and liked the State. What's not to love?

True, but his attempts at removing Clause IV and at moving the Labour Party rightwards were... concerning.

I dislike Blair a great deal, I dislike the Tory candidates even more and I'm something of a eurosceptic still (Well, I dislike the EU and the way it's currently structured. I'm actually pro-Europe as a whole.).
I suppose the LD's could be a possible choice but I've really gone off them in the past couple of years for certain reasons...

You mean you would have moved to Wales in 1929 just to vote for Plaid (not that early Plaid ran many candidates), in Scotland in 1935 just to vote for the SNP (not that the early SNP ran many candidates), to Northern Ireland to vote for Sinn Fein (who only ran a couple of candidates)?
Besides, the BUF is missing from your little lineup.

I. Am. Not. Voting. For. Anti-Semitic. Parties.
(Except BNP and FN, other stuff compensates it)
And about NPD: I said - I'd vote for them only because there are no normal right. Republikaners or Freheit are much closer to me.

The Whigs and Liberals when they were worth voting for, anybody but Labour thereafter (albeit with a strong temptation to stay home most of the elections during the first half of the 20th century). UKIP of late if I were in a safe seat, Tory vs. Lib Dem would depend on the individual candidates. In (Northern) Ireland anybody but Unionists, abstentionists preferred if only for the same reason that William Henry Harrison was the best President.

We do, but it was more just about the amount of protest that such a racist party generates. Parts of the BBC building got stormed by protesters when Nick Griffin appeared on Question Time in 2009. The BNP are seen as truely vile by the vast majority of the British people.

Worth pointing out (for anyone doing this) that only absolute and utter ultra-partisan headcases (that is, people like me) stayed loyal to Labour in '31.

I really don't know much about international politics. Though I did see the Cameron v. Brown v. Clegg debates
Were you wondering why Nick Griffin didn't make an appearance, yeah?
Sorry, who? Anyway, I feel bad for you brits. At least in America our two idiot system
pretends
to have 2 different parties.
EDIT: ah. He's the chairman of the BNP. Well, I personally like David Davis from what I've read about him. Cam is a very good speaker, and perhaps the only pm in modern history to look
younger
two years after taking office. I still don't understand; does your country have minimum support requirements to have a party in a debate like U.S.?
We do, but it was more just about the amount of protest that such a racist party generates. Parts of the BBC building got stormed by protesters when Nick Griffin appeared on Question Time in 2009. The BNP are seen as truely vile by the vast majority of the British people.
But wouldn't that sort of protest just rally people to the BNP? They'd look like martyrs, the poor, innocent people who had eggs thrown at them on tv, or tomatos, or they couldn't get to their car, appear on tv b/c of biased media, etc.

I think that I would vote in every election Labour. It is possible that in some constituency I would vote for the Lib Dems, if they had a better chance to beat the Torys
In Scotland and Wales the same. To beat the Tory i can imagine that I vote for SNP or Plaid Cymru too.
In Northern Ireland I would vote for the Anti-Unionist Candidate with the most chances to win. If more have a chance then in this order Sinn Fein - SDLP - Alliance

Worth pointing out (for anyone doing this) that only absolute and utter ultra-partisan headcases (that is, people like me) stayed loyal to Labour in '31.
And yet Labour's 1931 vote share was higher than it's 2010 vote share.

2010 was mainly a last ditch prevent the Tories effort.
Personally, 1931 is possibly the worst year for me, though it's in competition with 1979 and 2005.
