I figured Ventura would be libretarian if anything, but I'm happy to hear this.

Ventura is still a cool guy. Even with the Kerry endorsement and grizzly adams beard.

Could have some impact on Minnesota if people were still considering that a swing state.

It might help Kerry a little with 18-24 year old males nationwide, as well. Obiviously it won't have much impact but it might make a small difference.

Ventura won swing areas of Anoka county. Generally a blue collar swing exurb area. What we call bush ape country. For example my uncle LeRoy lives there, when he gets drunk he throws his bottles off of the back deck and shoots them with his gun, its really a wierd place no matter where you are from.

He used to broadcast XFL games while he was the sitting governor of Minnesota.

With Minnesota too-close-to-call, it could make a minimal difference yet have a very significant impact.

I guess it takes one to know one :-). I figured out long ago his libertarian leanings was just rhetoric and was around mainly to keep the Dems honest which he's obviously given up on by endorsing Kerry.

I love that label, flip-flopper. Do you know who the greatest flip-flopper in American history was? Thomas Jefferson. He was an ardent supporter of the French Republic (despite the predictions of John Adams that a Napolean-type figure who rise up). Then when Napolean rose up Jefferson completely did a flip-flop. Literally overnight.
So yeah, go ahead and hate flip-floppers like Thomas Jefferson.
