bushie you really think you are going to get any sales or 10 appointments prior to april 1?

I don't know about sales, but I do know I will get 20 appointments by April 1. (10 per week). This week still has 5 days (Tuesday-Saturday).

Nope....

Anyway, aside from all the bs on if you will get paid or not, why did you lie about what this job was?  What was the point of that?

That's one question that will NOT get an answer, so I wish people would STOP asking.  Plus, I've already answered it before and I will NOT answer again!!!!!

Wow, you've managed to contradict yourself in the span of two sentences. Impressive!

I just got home from my meeting, and I have two demos scheduled for Tuesday.  One at 1:00, and the other one at 7:00, both in Norman.  That will be a start.

Dear Bushie. Why did you were acting like a pathological liar?

Great.  Now you just need 8 more in a three day span of Wed-Fri to see a damn dime.

On second thought, I've changed my mind.  Impersonations are dumber than Sarah Palin and I, Lief, am too superior to request such a thing.

I'm tempted to do a Robert Stark and delete my posts to make your response seem odd and out of place, but your post would be an adequate response to this thread anyway.

I'm sure you picked this up when you were turning over every stone, but even if this employer is legitimate, they won't stand for more than a couple of pay periods with no sales. Any time someone is put on a guarantee, they're held to a performance standard and cut loose if they can't meet it.

I find it wholly unbelievable that you have fallen into the exact same vacuum-hustling line of work that you failed at a few months ago, but your life seems to drift along without the aid of simple logic. I suppose this company doesn't have "Kirby" anywhere in their name, so it will be different ... right?

Jeff, this endeavor will fail -- you're selling vacuums door-to-door again, for Christ's sake. And I'm not saying that to pump you up with some self-righteous sense of motivation to "git-r-dun," as the folks from your sorry state would say. I'm telling you because it's the natural order of things. We'll all be here 20 pages from now ... 50 ... 75 ... having the same conversation about some new scam job after you figured out you couldn't hack it as a Rainbow salesman. I gave up on giving you any advice months ago because it became crystal clear you wouldn't listen. A trip back to the Forum has confirmed that ... nothing has changed in BushOK Land.

Imagine if Bushie somehow got a job as a police detective. Here's a scenario I can see with him and a murder suspect:

BushOklahoma: So where were you the night of March 20, when the murder occurred?
Suspect: I was at home. I never left my house.
BushOklahoma: Oh, so you had nothing to do with the murder?
Suspect: Nope. Trust me, I'd never murder anyone, I'm a good Christian man. The Bible says "Thou shalt not kill", it's one of the Ten Commandments.
BushOklahoma: Oh clearly yes you would never murder someone, no good Bible-believing Christian would. You're free to go.
*next day*
Police chief: Why did you let that suspect go? We just had to apprehend him again, we found DNA evidence clearly linking him to the murder. It was definitely him.
BushOklahoma: What? But he told me he was at home when the murder occurred! And he said he was a good Christian man, he'd never murder anyone!

Vander Blubb should be the only poster allowed to parody BushOK in that style. Over-saturation could lead to a dilution in quality.

I didn't see that.  Quite honestly, I've found the impersonation of other posters' usernames just to be childish and annoying as hell.

One of the few occurrences I support slamming the bastards with infraction points for doing......it's as bad as trolling.

To be honest, J-Mann and everyone else, it's becoming more and more clear that this latest endeavor may not have much left in it.  It's not because of the work involved or going out and seeing customers, it would be because they keep changing their word and seem to be trying to walk me out the door.  Thankfully, since I haven't gotten paid, yet, I wouldn't have to put this on my resume', it would just be in the "lesson learned" category.  I'm going to give it a little more time.  I'm talking days at the most, but this may end up being tossed out with the trash.  I haven't exactly wasted my time doing this, because I have been looking at IT positions in the mean time.  I was also kidding about the two demos for today.  They aren't happening.  They keep changing their story by saying I would be out in the field yesterday, then they said today, then last night they said it would be Wednesday or Thursday.  I'm going to give them until the end of the week before I make my final decision, but I'm starting to get frustrated.

The big question now is how long you can go on working for that scam while promising us to quit untill they kick you out or untill your FB friends find out about your job.

While I am a little frustrated about getting started here, I did talk to some of my coworkers last night at the meeting and they said it is not uncommon to have a delay getting started.  I also did see people getting paid last night, a lot with base pay checks ($981.60).  That's why I said I'm going to give them until the end of the week to get me started.  I think once I get started, I'll be fine and be a lot happier.  It's just getting started that's the frustrating part.  All it takes is one appointment to get started with and all of my coworkers said that the one appointment they got started with was enough to sustain them because they get on average 5-6 referrals off each customer and they sale on average a 1-4 to 1-5 ratio.  These are personal experiences now, not just company rhetoric.

I'm just remembering something my grandfather taught me many years ago before he died.  "You created this mess, you get to clean it up" and "Don't quit everytime somebody does something you don't like. If I quit every time I got unhappy, I'd never make a living."

Do you believe you can procure 5-6 referrals from a customer? They won't just give them to you, you'd need to push to get them to refer their friends for a vacuum demo.

Yes, because it happens on virtually every appointment.
