Maybe we can all pitch in for Mechaman to drive down and run a lifefeed of the event.  I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find in the local papers.

Only if there is alcohol and teenagers at this event.

We can arrange that if you agree to go.

Alright broskies.
If I'm not doing anything on April 2nd, 2011 I'll consider it.

And everyone will ask who that disreputable-looking gentleman is and how he's friends with the groom.

I'll be in the spring semester of my fourth year in college by then and I'll be looking for an accounting internship, I doubt I'll still look disreputable.

We are officially engaged to be married!!  The tentative date is set for Saturday, April 2, 2011, 52 weeks from today!!

Any bets on that date holding?  I'll take all the action you guys are willing to put on it......I'll lay some of it off to my bookie, Joe Republic.

What about later dates?  Like I said before, I could imagine the wedding being the opposite of the engagement, where it keeps getting delayed and delayed.

I've been battling a friggin' cold or severe allergies this week that have kept me from my fiancee' since Sunday. Sad  I have talked to her, though, and she is doing great!!  If my cold lets up, we are going to watch a movie with my parents Friday evening and then I'm going to take her for ice cream after the movie.  Sunday, we'll go to church in the morning and in the evening.  My pastor, who is going to marry us, is going to meet with us Sunday evening before church and help us chart out the road map for the next 51 weeks.

Our good friend Brooke, who put us together, has volunteered to help us plan the wedding which will be of tremendous benefit!!

We want a small wedding, but we don't want to shortchange ourselves, though.  However, since I and my parents will be footing most of the bill for the wedding, we will save money where we can.  Brooke thinks she can get her mother-in-law, who is a former wedding photographer, to do our wedding for next to nothing.  We'll definitely look at her work and strongly consider it.  I also have a friend from college that does that stuff for a reasonable price, so I've got two options to consider.

We've pretty much determined the colors of the wedding, which are going to be a light lavender, white, and silver.  We've got 51 weeks to plan this wedding just right, so we don't have to stress out over it, but we also don't want to dilly dally since a year can go by fast if you're not watching.

We're about to commence the official planning of the wedding here pretty quick.  We're only doing the small stuff now, but we are starting the planning.  We are also buying a wedding calendar guide so we have an idea of when to have things planned.  I've also got those calendars bookmarked on my browser.  Tonight, I started looking at wedding photograph albums and scrapbooks so we can record all of our engagement memories, as well.  The wedding is still 358 days away, but a good wedding takes a year to plan.

The wedding is officially being planned!!  In risk of eating my words, we are thinking about modifying the wedding date, but not too much.  We could still keep it Saturday, April 2, 2011, but she kind of wants it either Saturday, March 19 or 26, so it can still be a little coolish and right at the beginning of spring.  I told her tonight I will not go any earlier than March 1 as I want to have time to plan our special day without rushing ourselves.  I also kind of hinted I will not go past April 9.

Yeah, BO is famous for holding to his promises not to rush things, it's only the last 100 out of 100 times or so things got pushed forward way faster than planned

Sorry, the only alcohol will be either white or pink champagne as the toast and maybe a Dr. Pepper-type punch Smiley

No Jameson and Miller Lite.  I'm not attending! Tongue  Think I may have to drive to OK and crash this thing on a side note.
