U.S. forces opened fire at a car near the rebel-held city of Fallujah killing two young Iraqi girls according to an Iraqi who helped rescue four people wounded in the attack on Friday.

Villager Mahmoud Mohammed said the mother of the two children and the driver of the car, both wounded in the attack, described the incident to him, saying that a U.S. tank had fired at the car in Naamiya, six miles southeast of Fallujah.

Two other Iraqi children in the car were injured.

Hospital officials in Fallujah confirmed the casualties.

The U.S. military didn’t comment immediately on the attack.

US troops accidentally kill 2 civilians.

Saddam's goons intentionally kill hundreds of thousands of civilians.

In the words of John Kerry, which is worse?

Case in point why we should have a news blackout when we fight wars.  All people need to know is that we are fighting and we are winning.

So we should fight for freedom, but we shouldn't have freedom? Gotcha.

We should have censorship.

Every war longer than 5 days since we stopped censorship has been unpopular and we have had to pull out.  After Vietnam we went through the easy Reagan/Bush Sr victories Grenada, Panama, and Persian gulf I.

Now we can't stomach a real war for our survival.

Why do you hate freedom? Are you a terrorist? I heard they attacked us because they hate our freedom.

Hey, I'm making a connection here between wars we don't have the stomach to fight and a lack of censorship.

If this media was around in WW2, we would've withdrawn after Tarawa and after the slaughter at Anzio.  Then when we found our troops massecerd at Malmedy, we would've tried to understand what we did to make the good ole' SS hate us.  Thank God we had censorship.

What's not true about it.
The terrorists attack us, and some place the blame on us.  We don't understand their plight.  Bull.

We're afraid of winning descivley.  Look at Fallujah.  If this was January, we would have crushed that city. Why didn't we.. If we had lost 100 soldiers taking it, Bush would be blamed and he would lose.  With censorship we would be able to win and then bring our boys home.

Why don't your people say something good about the US military for once? No wonder half the nation doesn't want to be associated with the left. Morally bankrupt.

How does simply mentioning this mean you really hate the military and never say anything good about it? Are you saying no one should ever criticize the military?

Why mention terrorist attacks? Terrible things need to be brought to light.

I wish the Democrats would move on.  I and many like me are sick and tired of hearing how young men from America are "trained teenage baby killers."  You idiots always seem to forget the beheadings, etc. which of course are "accidents" in your make-believe world.  Zell Miller hit the nail on the head.  We aren't going to let you screw the guys and gals over in Iraq like you jerks did to us in Viet Nam.

when did a Democrat on this forum say that the beheadings are accidents or that stuff like this justifies them or anything of the sort? And who here said "trained teenage baby killers"? It's a rather consistent position: stuff like this is wrong, beheadings and terrorist attacks are wrong.

In war, innocent people die.  That newsflash is probably pre-Sumarian.  When you cite one side and not the other you are being biased.

Apparently, you haven't been listening to Kerry and company.  It's the same B....S.... we heard in the 60s.  Leave the troops alone. War is a nice parlor game.  Sometimes terrible things happen, like with these two girls.  The difference is that OUR military will investigate and and deal with any trigger happy soldiers.  But don't be judging anyone from these safe environs.  Those guys are in a tough situation.  And the good they do far outweighs these tragedies.
