Most Obama/Clinton/Edwards Counties in Democratic Primary 2008

Some of the most Obama counties in the primaries turned out to be the most Democratic counties in each state, but not all of the Clinton counties turned out to be the most Republican counties in each state in the general election.
 

Not surprising. The demographics that went solidly for Obama in the primary did so again in the general. However, the counties that went solidly for Clinton tend to still have a good number of Democrats (many of which would still vote Obama in the general) so that the primary was well attended and campaigned. The Clinton list may actually look more similar to the counties with the highest anti-Obama swings in their state.
