Yes, I went to a bridge tournament in downtown Minneapolis (actually my travel there paid for by the National Contract Bridge League (I and my partner were novice superstars, as it were), and was rather shocked at how drab a town it looked as an aesthetic matter. It turned out, that at more advanced levels as time went on, I lacked the necessary talent as to the play of the cards, although my bidding was near expert. So that was my "peak" bridge experience. I ultimately went on to another hobby.
By the way, we came in third in that tournament, and I have this really ugly trophy to "prove" it.
I already posted my CD, the "gold coast" of OC, CA CD 48.
