Right now we are actually doing pretty fine in regards to our deficit, and this is because our GDP/Debt Ratio is 80% and this is 10% below the historical average for default. Furthermore our  bond rating is AAA+, and this is the highest possible rating a country can get. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS IN GREAT SHAPE WHEN IT COMES TO THE BUDGET.

if you are worried about the budget than you should support the idea of another stimulus package. This is because pro-growth policies have always created a stronger tax base, and better revenue. People sometimes like to hammer george bush for wasting the clinton surplus, but most of the reason as to why the deficit ballooned was because of the 2001 recession. George Bush had no control over wether or not that Recession should occur, and anyone who has taken at least TWO economic courses would no this.

Both parties have suggested reducing the budget deficit, while the unemployment rate remains high.
