Sorry to be an asshole, but I'm being honest -

You might, but for professional reasons.  Smiley

In all fairness (to a corpse I despised in life), the airport predated Murtha and Gerrymander was directed against Frank Mascara.

I do, however, agree with Chris and George, but I don't think it is hugely appropriate to discuss it now.

BTW, I was briefly the GOP nominee against him in the late 1980's, so I probably have more reason to bitch about him than anyone.  Now now, however.

Dude... black face doesn't predate Jack Murtha.  Interesting to know, BTW.  I knew you had run, never said against who.

The airport does.  I was there in 1968 or 1969, seeing my father off to a meeting in Chicago.

He didn't; I dropped out after the primary.  He was noted for the "lie big and lie often" campaign.  Really ambitious people would run against him to boost name recognition.

Got the nomination and withdrew.  My arm was twisted by the GOP establishment.

I actually first met Jack Murtha when I was about 8 years old, and he was in the state house.

1980's.

He was corrupt, but he served his country well in Vietnam.

Others served better and got less, including one of the neighboring Democratic congressmen, Don Bailey.

So I will expect the same respect to be paid, by the Left, to Oliver North when he dies.

I have problems with Oliver North, but I do respect his military record (which was a bit more "heroic" than Murtha's).  Murtha was a staff intelligence officer; North commanded a platoon in the field.

I won't be sweeping the bad stuff under the rug or trying to make out his military record as more heroic than it was.

Which year?

You will have to do the research.

Al Gore had not invented the Internet yet.  You will have to try books.  It shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

He never claimed to have Invented the Internet. What a huge piece of conservative and Republican propaganda.

Like I said, "Al Gore had not invented the Internet yet."
