July 2, 2011 - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India is cut down by an assassin's bullet in New Dehli.  A Pakistani national, Muhammad Tarkhan, is arrested for the assassination.  Under torture, he admits to the crime and claims he is an Inter-Services Intelligence agent (Intelligence Agency of Pakistan).

July 2, 2011 - President Zardari of Pakistan rejects these claims.  While giving him condolences to the Indian people, he rejects Tarkhan's claim, and raises the thought that Indian authorities coerced him to say he was a Pakistani agent.

July 2, 2011 - President Clinton returns to the United States.  She says that a full investigation is necessary and the United States government will take in all information before making an official statement.

July 2, 2011 - New Prime Minister P. Chidambaram says that it is irrefutable that the government of Pakistan was behind the attack.  He calls for action against Pakistan.

July 3, 2011 - Two U.S. Marines are killed by Pakistani fire after their squad accidentally crossed the border.  President Zardari apologized personally to their families, but at the same time insisted that the United States halt their approach toward Pakistan.

July 3, 2011 - President Clinton says in  press conference that relations with Pakistan have soured in recent weeks.  She says that while it is an unfortunate path to take, she will not rule out an invasion.

July 4, 2011 - CNN reports that Ayman al-Zawahiri, Al-Qaeda second in command, was killed in a CIA Predator Airstrike in the early morning hours of July 4, 2011.  President Clinton refuses to comment.

July 5, 2011 - The Central Intelligence Agency confirms that Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in the village of Thall, Pakistan.  Along with him, 8 others were killed, among them his son.  President Clinton holds a press conference in which she pushes for further allowance of US Airstrikes in Pakistan.  President Zardari of Pakistan is glad to see al-Zawahiri dead, but condemns the airstrike itself.

July 8. 2011 - Osama bin Laden releases a video condemning the airstrikes as an Invasion, while also giving his condolences to his fallen comrade.  This is the first tape without any notable freezing or skipping.  He mentions current events and there is no evidence it is faked.  Secretary of Defense Robert Gates remarks "Well, this shows he's alive.  We need to get him.  As General McCrystal said, this war won't be won unless he's out of the picture."

July 16, 2011 - The third GOP debate is held.  All 9 candidates attend.  The main topic is the New War on Terror, with Pawlenty coming off strongly.  Sarah Palin blasts the policies of former President Obama, and Mitt Romney cites the disrespectfulness of her tone.  Rick Santorum doesn't speak much, but when he does he pushes good issues.  Overall, the winner of the debate is seen as either Mitt Romney or Tim Pawlenty.

July 22, 2011 - President Clinton visits Mexico, discussing the War on Drugs.

August 6, 2011 - The fourth GOP debate is held.  It is attended by all 9 candidates.  The main issue is the New War on Terror.  It inevitably develops into a feud over U.S.-Pakistan relations.  Thune comes off as a strong candidate for national defense, as does Pawlenty.  Paul continues to be a great debater, while Santorum and Cantor seem to sink into the background.  Overall, the winner is seen as Thune.

August 14, 2011 - An explosion in the New York Subway System kills twenty seven.  Mayor Bloomberg and President Clinton pledge a full investigation and vow to find the ringleader of the attack, revealed to be Osama bin Laden.

Good.
When you say "Possible matchups against Clinton", and Romney has 47%, does that mean you think he'd get 47% of the vote. Honestly, that's ridiculously high. With those approval's Clinton would win with over 65% of the vote.

Just because the people approve of what she's doing doesn't mean they wouldn't vote for someone else.

The Tea Party movements are still full force, it's just that most economic talks have stalled after the attacks.  The main issue now is the War in Afghanistan and Pakistan relations.

An update's coming up.

September 4, 2011 - The fifth GOP debate is held.  All 8 candidates attend.  There is no main subject.  Overall, Ron Paul pushes economic policies, being regarded as good ideas.  Mike Huckabee pushes traditional conservative and Christian values, while Mitt Romney pushes economic experience, while Newt Gingrich shows strength in the area of National Security.  Thune argues with Palin over her perceived lack of National Security credentials.  Eric Cantor continues to sink further into the background.  The winner of the debate is seen as Ron Paul, but most polls show Huckabee had the best performance.  Gingrich also is regarded as a winner.

September 11, 2011 - President Clinton attends the opening of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.  Also in attendance are Former Presidents George W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and former Acting President Sebelius.

September 11, 2011 - Osama bin Laden releases a new video tape, reviewing the past ten years.  He says that Al-Qaeda is not on the run, that the US and Pakistan know where he is, and says he is not frightened.

September 18, 2011 - A suicide bomber kills 42 and injures 201 in Times Square.  Osama bin Laden releases an audio tape later that day, claiming responsibility for the attack.

September 18, 2011 - President Clinton makes a statement at New York City Hall, saying Osama bin Laden will be brought to justice.  However, concerns are being risen over the administration's ability to stop terrorist attacks.

September 22, 2011 - The sixth GOP debate is held.  The topic of Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda dominates the debate.  All of the candidates but Ron Paul say they would support an Invasion of Pakistan if they would not cooperate in The New War on Terror.  Gingrich and Thune criticizes Clinton's handling of National Security.  Sarah Palin does not give any real solutions.  Cantor once again slips out of the spotlight.  The winner is seen as Gingrich, with Thune also coming off strongly.

October 28, 2011 - President Zardari survives yet another attack.  This one, similar to the attack his wife (Benazir Bhutto) was killed in, killed 41 people.  He is critically injured by a gunshot to the shoulder and a deep shrapnel cut in his neck.

October 31, 2011 - A car bomb explosion outside the hospital President Zardari is being treated in collapses one quarter of the hospital, killing 127.  President Zardari is not injured.  Protests have broken out in recent days, calling for President Zardari to stand down as President and for Musharraf to resume the Presidency.  The former President calls for an end to the attempts on Zardari's life, but also says that if the people chose him as President, he would accept.

November 4, 2011 - The eighth GOP debate is held.  The main topic is once again Pakistan.  Each candidate with the exception of Ron Paul said they would support a coup d'etat in Pakistan.  Each candidate besides Paul also said they would support India in a war with Pakistan.

November 6, 2011 - Prime Minister Gillani of Pakistan travels to Tehran and meets with President Ahmadinejad.  The Iranian President says that he looks forward to improved relations between the two countries.  Later that day, Iran pulls out of it's embassy in New Delhi.

November 24, 2011 - President Zardari of Pakistan is released from the hospital.  He vows to regain the trust of the people.  He also announces a massive troop mobilization to the Kashmir region.  UN Peacekeepers are dispatched to the region.

November 27, 2011 - E-Mails are leaked online seeming to connect Pakistan to the Iranian Nuclear Program.  They also show that Iran is in fact developing nuclear weapons.  Both Pakistan and Iran deny the authenticity of the E-Mails, and the United Nations express doubts.  President Clinton says if the authenticity is confirmed, there will be consequences.  The Prime Ministers of India and Israel echo her tone.  The government of the United Kingdom does not have such a harsh tone, but agrees.

November 30, 2011 - The ninth GOP debate is held.  Once again, the debate rotates around Pakistan and Iran for it's entirety.  The winner is seen as either Gingrich, Pawlenty or Romney.  However, the only loser is Paul, who once again is against action against Pakistan.
