I would consider Mike Castle the most moderate Republican in Congress at the moment.

Yes, and I like it more than Obama's, Burris', or Alexi's.

No, I'm not. But if what you're asking is that I tear down Mark Kirk only to allow someone further left than him to win, than I refuse.

Let me suggest that if you support the lesser of two evils, you are still supporting an evil.

Actually, on a wide variety of matters of concern to most conservatives, Kirk has a worse voting record than many Illinois Democrat congresscritters.

Oh, and what about Cap and Tax (Kirk voted for that one too)?

I can give you lots of other examples.

Well, the Democrat who would have been sitting in his D-leaning seat instead of him would have supported cap and trade anyways, and luckily he has said he will oppose it as a Senator.

First of all, its an election year and Kirk realizes that supporting cap and tax at this time would be electoral suicide.

Second, as soon as the election is over, he will revert to form.

Third, do you you belive abortion is wonderful?  Kirk does.  Check out his record.
