Hoegner (protest)

This is the name of this Republic that makes me vote against him Wink
"Freistaat Bayern"? You're right. That is disgusting.

That was a joke (an Orange joke !)...
Anyway, I'm always surprised to see that many of our articulate voters from the left are as bad losers as me...

I haven't shouted when Ehard has been ousted. I've shouted when de Gaulle was ousted in other survivors, but still, I didn't change my votes afterwards and, well, I'm just a conservative Wink

Each time, it's the same thing, but old-fashioned socialists can't win every survivor !
That's why I keep repeating I far prefer survivors like Stalin's marshals or Hitler's helpers, as there is no room for partisan hacking.

Oh, and I agree Hoegner should go after that Wink

I haven't shouted when Ehard has been ousted.
And Ehard was a cipher, so I fail to see your point. Huh (Now, Strauß... but you did shout about that. A wee bit. Or Goppel, but he was eliminated by a rather strange coalition on here. The order of CSU eliminations in this game has been a bit strange. Though Seidel as the last one left makes sense.)

I didn't either. Huh

Hoegner winning is the cliche result, anyways.

The Result of Round 16

Eisner 3, Seidel 2, Hoegner 1

Kurt Eisner is out. Place 3 isn't bad, but don't makes me happy Wink I don't know what you have against the word Freistaat. It was the in the 18th and 19th century the normal word in German for Republic. 1918/19 Bayern wasn't the only Freistaat in the Weimarer Republic. Preußen, Sachsen, Braunschweig, Anhalt, Oldenburg, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Waldeck, Lippe, Schaumburg-Lippe were called Freistaat too.

Kurt Eisner and the ground monument in Munich at the place he was killed.

Kurt Eisner (USPD) – 1919
Martin Segitz (SPD) – 1919 acting prime minister
Johannes Hoffmann (SPD) – 1919-1920

Gustav von Kahr (Independent) – 1920-1921
Hugo Graf von und zu Lerchenfeld auf Köfering  und Schönberg (BVP) – 1921-1922
Eugen Ritter von Knilling (BVP) – 1922-1924

Heinrich Held (BVP) – 1924-1933
Ludwig Siebert  (NSDAP) – 1933-1942
Paul Giesler (NSDAP) – 1942-1945

Fritz Schäffer (CSU) – 1945
Wilhelm Hoegner (SPD) – 1945-1946 and 1954-1957
Hans Ehard (CSU) – 1946-1954 and 1960-1962

Hanns Seidel (CSU) – 1957-1960
Alfons Goppel (CSU) – 1962-1978
Franz Josef Strauß (CSU) – 1978-1988

Max Streibl (CSU) – 1988-1993
Edmund Stoiber (CSU) – 1993-2007
Günther Beckstein  (CSU) – 2007-2008

Horst Seehofer (CSU) – 2008- present

Start Round 18

Usual rule: Vote for the PM you want to eliminate.

Vote is open for 24 hours+

Eliminate Hoegner

Ehard for survivor ! Why impossible ?
Seidel for survivor, then

(oh and about Freistaat, I repeat, that was a joke, boys !!! Just because of Free State of Orange, that was ironic, just that...)
My reason was that I didn't want a cliché as survivor.

Günther Beckstein  (CSU) – 2007-2008

Horst Seehofer (CSU) – 2008- present

Wilhelm Hoegner is the Survivor!

The last Prime Minister of the SPD in Bayern wins. It is for me no surprise. He was a good politician. The SPD of today need a man like him, but I don't see him. Hoegner was PM with a coalition of SPD/FDP/Bayernpartei and BHE

I'm grateful for the active participation of all Survivor Maniacs. I did not think before that this Survivor it would be adopted by so well.

Congratulation Grin

Hoegner was my second choice. I'm a fan of Kurt Eisner, but I knew it before the start of the Survivor, that he had only a very small chance to win.

Most of us probably assumed you meant "Räterepublik" rather than "Freistaat". I certainly did. Grin
