For me, an interview yesterday in which I somehow mentally lost the word "Bavaria." I managed to get out "Bayern," "the German state next to Austria," "the Catholic area," "Southeastern Germany," and, finally, "where Munich is."  A few more minutes and I would've been sputtering about the CSU and Edmund Stoiber.

Beat that.  Once again, the requirement is something you remember everything about, but just forgot the word.

Funnily enough, I had the exact same problem a few weeks ago.

Once I couldn't remember Carl Levin's name; I got out "Senior Senator from Michigan," "five or six-termer," "reelected in 2008," "Chairman of the Armed Services Committee," "Got first elected when he was only on the Detroit City Council," "the one with the bad combover and granny glasses," and a few other things about recent votes that I don't remember now, before I finally got his name.

Interestingly, I finally connected it because something I said reminded me of Carl Hayden here on the Atlas and then, because of "Carl," the guy's name finally hit me.

Job application.  Nothing to do with Germany, though.

So what venue can we hear your interview, Mikado?  Was it published?  Or was it like a job interview?

Cease your stupidity and leave this thread; this is about the tip of the tongue, not the back of the throat.
I was just wondering jeez.

I was once attempting to deny that I am absent minded. Guess which term I managed to forget...

I can never seem to remember Christian Bale's name.  Like, ever.  I even had to look up Batman Begins right before I posted this.

Hold down the alt key and press 0233 and you'll get é.  If you want the dodad to go the other way it's alt and 0232 è.  If you want the hat on it, it's alt plus 0234 ê.  The two dots it's alt and 0235 ë.  This is all in your Character Map.

(this assumes you're using some flavor of Windows)

The worst was when I was working for Chris Shays, and I was breifing him and the rest of the campaign on some of the actions by the Farrell campaign, and I couldnt remember her name. It came out something like "That chick.. um.. you know, the one who told me to go f myself.. ummm, whats her face said she is going to coming out against something you said about that guy.. umm.. the short majority leader"

Yeah, I couldn't remember Diane Farrells name, or Tom DeLay
