Mark Warner lives up to all of the hype in 2006 and overwhelmingly wins the Democratic Party nomination over the much overhyped political rookie Barack Obama and nominates former Tennessee congresman and current New York resident Harold Ford as his runningmate. On the other side the Republicans nominate former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as president and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as the Vice Presidential nominee. With a moderate Democratic ticket of Warner/Ford vs. a moderate Republican ticket of Giuliani/Romney, how does this election turn out?
Assume everything else remains the same.

The Warnerites (looking at you, ben) have me here. I would vote for him, and he would win too.

Ford would make a fool of himself.  Not in a lovable Biden way, but in a "Wow this guy is an idiot" Palin way.  Warner would still dominate.

The NRA would back the DEM ticket and the pro-lifers would be split or find a third party. I'm not sure the GOP would win a single state.

I'm thrilled, and also honored to be the primary person here associated with Mark Warner Wink
