He is slipping to the HP-radar very slowly.

Allowing the government to simply function makes him a HP?

You know, a man called 'Scott Brown' could never win an election anywhere in the West Indies.

I'm starting to really like Scott Brown.

^^^

And at this rate, he'll win re-election, too.

He has something like a 70% approval rating at the moment from Rasmussen. I mean....a certain honeymoon is normal....but this seems quite abnormal.

Brown is a very clever politician that knows what he has to do, and I'd also give him a relatively good shot at winning re-election.

I will point out that in February 2009, Obama looked like a clever politician who knows what he has to do, and with his natural talent, was a near lock for reelection.

No, he didn't.

Yes, he did.

What was his approval rating in February 09? As a whole, not cherry-picking the lowest number.

The big difference here, of course, is that a president has to lead whereas a senator does not. Obama would have no issues with his popularity nationally if he was just a U.S. senator.

That's called honeymoon ratings. That has nothing to do with looking clever. He slopped soon after, because people saw nothing in him.

Why doesn't this apply to Scott Brown's 70% in Massachusetts?

He's a Republican in Massachusetts.

He's a Republican in Massachusetts.

Which makes it all the more likely he's having a honeymoon instead of solid, across-the-board support.
