Those ideas came from JFK, who would have continued pursuing it if they passed. JFK had the intention of bringing all our advisory forces back from Vietnam after he was re-elected. LBJ sent 500,000 combat troops into a war that he didn't think we could win AND LBJ saying this is on the record.

JFK wins. LBJ was a great politician but mad some very bad decisions of his own. JFK was better.
