I'm sick right now Sad  Just your standard cold kinda crap.  I'm just not used to it because I rarely get sick.  The last time I had influenza was in spring 2007.

Maybe it's because every time I even feel a little off I overload myself with vitamins and tea.  Maybe I'm just god-like.  I'll lean towards the former, though one can dream.

What about you?  Were you blessed with a good immune system... or do you pretty much go through kleenex like a fat lady through a box of hostess cupcakes?

In terms of getting actual illnesses, rarely.

Feeling ill can happen a bit more frequently.

Rarely. I was fairly well immunized from my early days.

About 2-3 colds a year usually at the beginning and the end of the "cold and flu season" in September and April.  Add to that usually one severe illness (flu, sinus infection, strep, etc.) 2 out of every 3 years.  In November 2008, I had a horrible sinus infection and in November 2009, I had H1N1, but I didn't have any severe illness in the 2007-2008 winter.  If there's a bug going around, I'll usually get it.

I do feel sick quite a bit, but usually no more than just slight nausea and stomach discomfort.

I don't think I've been sick with a fever in at least five or six years, maybe more.

Every year or two I get little colds that go away after a day or two.

As often as I feel like it. I'm pretty sure that all my illnesses are psychosomatic.

Almost never.

The last time I got sick was on a ski trip when I - and all the others - caught the flu from one of the girls.  I still don't understand why she insisted on going when she could barely leave her hotel room.

Few times a year. Diet, lack of exercise, and environment are probably contributing factors.

I'm pretty sick right now, but that's because I drank 2/3 of a bottle of rum earlier. Don't think that's what you're talking about though...

Last autumn was really crappy and I got flu twice, which is unusual for me.

Hardly ever.  But I really don't consider it "being sick" unless I have a fever/feel crappy.  I normally wouldn't call having a cold "being sick," but even that is pretty rare.

How can you have a virus that didn't even exist?

I either win or lose the thread, depending on how 'win' and 'lose' are defined. Going into much more detail would rapidly turn this thread into an internet version of a bus journey in County Durham.

I rarely get sick, but the past six months or so have been brutal. 2 stomach viruses, pneumonia, and swine flu.

Ouch, that sounds like a rough winter.  Hopefully you're feeling better and your first four words take over again.

Very rarely. I usually get a cold around September and I'm prone to getting ear infections at the same time, but the rest of the year I stay healthy.

I just don't do prosaic things like catch colds and contract viral things. I specialize in a skin disease, and assorted and sundry surgeries, as well as waging a Jihad against nature: to wit the process of aging, which might be an illness perhaps - a mental illness. Tongue

Without.  I can and do all the physical activities which I enjoy without pain, both inside the gym and elsewhere. I am a very lucky guy. Smiley

And those hideously unsightly skin scabs and scales are almost invisible due to my ingestion of highly expensive drugs (about 30K per year), mostly paid for by my insurance. So I am doing my bit to help bankrupt the system.
