Not me right at the moment because I am already eligible for subsidized healthcare (thanks to our socialist former Republican governor Arne Carlson and the legislature)

The people it will help are those who are just above the threshold for subsidized care but can't get it through work and those with preexisting conditions.

I'm sure I will, and so will my entire family.

It really is disgusting that any government money that could at least go to those who need it is wasted on able-bodied people who simply refuse to work, like you.

Maybe you'd be able to afford health insurance if you didn't waste so much of the money you already get on video games and Kindles and iPods.

Actually I'm quite familiar firsthand that thanks to commission, AT&T sales reps can make a ton of money, like up to $35k a year, a lot more than teenagers. Of course to do so they often have to blatantly lie about products and I end up having to correct them, but regardless it's not a fast food type job for high schoolers.

Haha, wow!!

That is a very normal income for the middle two thirds of the country, J-Mann.

As for myself, I may very possibly benefit.  As someone who exists with a certain economic flexibility I can 'have' or 'not have' income or property as situations require, at least until inheritance occurs (if ever).  So, it is very easy to imagine going home and 'being poor' if it made sense in some ways.

Yes, because I don't possess some magical immunity that will prevent me from ever having to use my insurance and risk getting thrown off of it.

Neither I nor my family will probably benefit much since both of my parents have health insurance from their jobs (and I believe I am included in their insurance package as well) and since there is no public option or provision to lower the Medicare age, which would ahve helped out my parents a lot in the future.

Well, you'll now be able to stay on their plan until you're 26 supposedly.

See, see! Obamacare FAILS! Wink

I won't in my current state, but I feel better now as my father's job isn't the most secure. Also I can leech off my parents until I'm 26!

I already have health care coverage through work, so no.

Honestly, for such a major bill, relatively few people will actually wind up benefiting from it.
