It's a sad state of affairs when the salary that my grandfather earned in about 1971 is "good money" in 2010.

So maybe more like 1981... an exaggeration.. but still.

Not me right at the moment because I am already eligible for subsidized healthcare (thanks to our socialist former Republican governor Arne Carlson and the legislature)

The people it will help are those who are just above the threshold for subsidized care but can't get it through work and those with preexisting conditions.
