You white folk have it so easy. I would have put Indian down for my race, but then they had Pakistani listed as an example for the Other Asian category, which would seem to mean that the Census Bureau wants national origin and not race. But I also so Hmong as an example, and Hmong certainly isn't a national origin. So I was conflicted on whether to put down Bangladeshi or Bengali. I ended up choosing Bangladeshi.

The only reason why I feel especially compelled to fill out my census is exactly that: I don't want an otherwise out-of-work twenty-something hipster coming to my door to conduct it in person.
