So much for the myth being spread around here that Americans have suddenly rallied behind ObamaCare...

You don't call that growing more positive?

Can you read a graph?

Funny how that's the one poll that happened to get all the attention, on here, and in the global media.

Here's another poll on this issue by yet another pollster...

55% Favor Repeal of Health Care Bill

I'd love seeing a poll asking people if they actually know what's in it.

So, essentially you bolded all the bad news while ignoring all the good news in that quote?

Actually you got it backwards. I bolded all the good news. Wink

And the good news is, the American people are still opposed to this bill, despite whatever temporary bounce might have occurred from its being forced through.

I want them to keep challenging the bill too.

It would be the height of cynicism for them to say how the bill is instituting totalitarianism in America and then shrug their shoulders and laugh afterwards.

I like how you bolded the congressional democrat's approval ratings and didn't highlight the approval ratings of republicans right next to it. Surprise, surprise the republicans have a lower approval rating.

He's selective in what he wants you to see. It compliments his narrative.

Uh, the Republicans are irrelevant. It's the Democrats who proposed and passed this bill. So duh, of course what matters most is going to be the Democrats' approval ratings. Roll Eyes

Right, citing poll after poll that states the facts about what Americans think of the so-called "healthcare reform" is a "joke thread." Roll Eyes

All polls have shown a slight increase in those who agree with the bill post-passage.   HCR started with more pre-passage support in Gallup than other polls.  Therefore, Gallup shows a net positive rating  for the legislation post-passage while other polls don't.  It might be because Gallup polled ADULTS, not registered voters, likely voters or even necessarily U.S. citizens.

Correct. You can make data say anything you want, but you can't necessarily pass it by an informed audience.

Libertas is correct.  Most polls still show health care reform still has net negative support post-passage.

The data is in: Americans still oppose Obama's corporatization of healthcare. Sticking your fingers in your ears and pretending otherwise is childish.

I disagree.  It selectively quotes out of a balanced article to make a specific polling point, but on a joke thread level, where a 10 is a Vander, it's like a 2.

I don't think Libertas is under any moral obligation to use bold tags to quote parts of the article [which he still posts, it's not like he pulled a CARL where he leaves all the facts behind] that favor Democrats.  You don't want the whole damn article bolded, do you?  Sure, he's selectively reading it, but selectively reading a poll is pretty damn common Smiley

I just thought he wanted to highlight the health care bill in relation to how it affected the Democrats.
