I think their point was that Israel is an important ally of the US, and this is generally not how allied leaders treat one another.

But of course, Bibi is a dick, so that's a fairly decent excuse.

No matter what you do everything is tricky there. Such attitudes encourage to make feel to Israel that they are alone, and then, feeling alone, they would care less of what the US can say, so it gives less chance to a 'pacifist influence' that an Obama administration could have on Israel to exist.

But well, on the other hand seems they don't want to listen to what the Obama administration can say, though dunno whether the latter did all the good moves it could do, and if it was possible to do something that would give better orientations to Israel. Hope they did, otherwise it's stupid to waste chances to put Israel on more reasonable ways, situation could really get nasty there...

Tricky region, really tricky...
