The Draft Davis movement never emerges at the end of the 1924 Democratic Convention and Smith wins the nod after the 108th ballot.
A few questions:

Would Robert M. LaFollette still mount a third party run on the Progressive Party ticket if the somewhat progressive Governor Al Smith of New York wins the nomination for the Democratic Party?
How would the South react? Would it step in line behind Smith due to what might be a more favorable climate for Democrats, or would it be like 1928 IRL?
How would the Teapot Dome Scandal affect the race?
Would Coolidge campaign more than he did IRL?
Could Al Smith somehow win?

Also, be sure to include your maps.

What happens?

America wins either way.

Coolidge most likely wins though.

Coolidge pick H. Hoover as VP. Smith picks Oscar Underwood as VP.  La Follete does not run which helps Coolidge.

Why would La Follette not running help Coolidge?  They were exact opposites in terms of the political spectrum, while Al Smith and La Follette were pretty similar.
