... where do you go? I assume this applies to Haley Barbour to an even greater extent, and likely Palin to a lesser one.

Of course you can. I was asking forum libertarians.

You included social moderates in your query, Ein.

It's not just libertarians and social moderates.  Huckabee (and Romney) have nothing to offer fiscal or economic conservatives.  3rd party or write in.

This is true but at least Huckabee opposed the bail outs and anything resembling Obamacare. Romney is possibly the most worthless candidate the Republicans are offering.

I could see myself holding my nose and voting for Romney should the right circumstances arise. Huckabee, Barbour, Palin, or Jindal merit an immediate Obama vote.

I'd hold my nose, cry, and shut my eyes, but I would vote for Huckabee. Also this would apply to John Thune.

I would probably vote for the LP candidate should the GOP nominee be Huckabee, Palin, Demint, or Santorum.  The same might go for Thune and Barbour, but I don't know enough about them.

A vote for Obama is highly unlikely.

At this point I could consider any of them except Palin seriously.

I'd still vote R. It would take a massive, massive wingnut for me to turn to Obama ever again. I'm still much prefer Daniels or, unrealistically, Johnson.

They will still vote for Huckabee more than Obama due to economic freedoms especially if the economy is still bad.

It would have to depend on the circumstances. If the Republicans do nominate Huckabee, I'd suppose it would turn out pretty well for Obama, so I'd probably either not vote, or vote for some other third party candidate. If it looks like the election will be incredibly narrow, and my vote might make some sort of difference, I might stomach voting for Obama, but it would definitely take alot.

Vote Libertarian. I fully expect to do that anyway, so it's not like the GOP nominating Huckabee would be much of a disappointment for me.

The Libertarian Party SHOULD be a third major party- unlike parties like Green or Constitution it holds a distinct ideology

The 2 party system is one of the best things in this world. Your party has a 50/50 chance of winning and their chances cannot get any higher.  A vote for a third party is always a wasted vote because those candidates cannot and will not ever win an election in this country.

The Constitution and Green parties have better ideologies though.

The Libertarian Party is the best party in this country, but I vote with Republicans because of primaries and election chances.  Lesser of 2 evils is the case, but let's face it that's always the case.
