808 Douche and Turd
When PETA demonstrates against the use of a cow as South Park Elementary’s mascot, the student body is forced to choose a new one. As the election approaches, Kyle tries to convince everyone that his candidate, a giant douche, is better than Cartman’s nominee, a turd sandwich.

Looks like they are going to lambaste both candidates Wink  From promos, I think they are also going to attack MTV and the whole vote or die B.S.

There's also a new series right after it: Drawn Together. A 'reality' show with cartoon characters from various fake series. I saw a preview for it last month and it's pretty damn funny.

Nice.  Thanks for the heads-up!

Okay, since nobody else apparently has the balls to say it, I will:
The SouthPark episode sucked.  What a letdown!

Drawn Together, on the other hand, was a blast.  What satire!  I'm
not entirely sure I like what they've done with Betty Boop, but
otherwise I was thoroughly impressed.  What incredible misogyny!
A "Real World" style slap at all reality television.  And our culture, in general.
My hat is off to Silversteen and his band of social misfits.

Some thoughts on this pilot episode:

1.  The obligatory shot at the president was cute.  I loved the
satire with which they were obviously poking fun of his uninspired
and narrow-focused detractors.  (a 71-year-old blue ball/advisor
suggesting "shooting the president."  Nice.)

2.  The graphic scene making fun of the modern American geekster's
penchant for faux girl-on-girl tongue-kissing was gross, but also
funny and effective.  Replete with a Disney-esque operatic singing
background music and Disney Majic elliptical panning.

3.  The obviously flamboyantly gay man's overcompensation ("I'm on
a never-ending quest to save my girlfriend") was over-the-top schtick.
(the nipple rings were a tad predictable, though)

4.  The sexy, self-righteous, foul-mouthed, finger-wagging black
chick will be the subject of my masturbatory fantasies for some time
to come.  I really hope they don't vote her off the show.  I'm in
total agreement with the shallow superman here.  "Okay, now let's
see a twelve-year old girl and a donkey."  (awkward pause)
"A'ight.  Y'all go'on an vote me offa dis show.  bitches.  They're just gonna
replace me with some otha minority.  A Meskin probly.  Y'all wanna be smellin
beans all the time?  And havin illegal relatives sleep ova all the time?"
And how about those nipples!  anyone?

5.  I'm not sure which bush daughter's she was (or maybe one of Kerry's
elitist little bitches, who cares?  she was funny).  The princess was
the perfect little waspy-yankee billionaire daddy's girl, wasn't
she?  (think:  woody's girlfriend from Cheers) Said in
apology, "It's not her fault she was born black."
Said in a jacuzzi, "your people aren't as boyant, are they?"
If Opebo has a daughter, this is she!

6.  And the katfite?  Oh, man.  Meeeeow!  (watching the little pigs
pink proboscis uncurl was weird, though.)  Hey, was the pig's voice
that guy Adam from The Man Show?

7.  The supergay superhero playing a few notes on a flute (skin-flute?)
and then turning into a tornado and destroying all the mobile homes
in a trailer park went way over my head, I must admit.  There was
probably some cultural allusion in there somewhere.

8.  Oh, no.  Domo Aregato, Ling Ling.  Of course the bizarre fetishes
of the Japs (and their western cybergeek accomplices) were spared no
humiliations.  (not sure why they picked such a sinophillic name for
the character, though.  Just being weird I guess.)  I ryke to coz
epirepsy in ritter chirdren.  (oh, and the skull-sex reference just
made me nearly spit out my bourdeaux.  Damned funny!)

9.  Even the FCC was skewered.  I especially liked the way they
"digitized" the extended middle finger of Foxy (aforementioned sexy
black chick) as she saluted the waspy rich princess.

10.  The teaser was way over the top.  Wasn't it?  You'll tune in next
week just to see, all the while knowing it's just fluff.  This was one
weird g show.

What brilliant satire!  I can only imagine that it'll go downhill
from here.  I'm half tempted not to ever watch again just so that I'll
remember this hilarity (and prescient political incorrectness) in all
its glory.  I can't imagine they'll get more than a few really good
episodes out of this madness.

It's like all this pent-up political incorrectness unleasing itself,
now that the not-so-liberal "liberal" 90s decade of morality police/
book burning/political correctness is finally over.  It's like Parker
(or was it Stone?) of South Park said, "I really g hate liberals!"
Problem is, they've used up all their material (as I predict this one
will, and sooner than SP did.)

Till then, Good Show!  If you're an irreverent, economically liberated,
comfortable but leary GOP/libertarian type convinced of your own
self-righteousness, then you really ought to be kicking the sh**t
out of yourself for missing this show.  Lighten up and watch some
mindless TV for a change.  You hate Survivor?  You hate Real World?
You hate anime?  Then you'll g love this little gem.

If, on the other hand, you're a slacker, or a nerd, or generally
the sort of frustrated, repressed liberal who hasn't the first clue
about how to get laid (or have any sort of life), but who, at the
same time, has half a brain and doesn't like the direction "our
society is headed," then I can't imagine you'd have missed it in
the first place.  And to this generally well-informed second group, I'd
ask:  What did you think of it?  Does it have any staying power?
Was it too much of a good thing?  I'd like to hear what others
thought of this blatant attempt to skewer our worldview.

I saw it.  It rocked.  One of the smartest things on TV IMO.  Your comments are totally on the mark.

That last montage on drawn together was one of the weirdest and most hliarious things I have ever seen.

South Park episode wasn't one of their bests but they slapped it together-promoting their movie and all.  That being said the Puff Daddy rap part was hysterical.
