Going off of the other successful Alternate Universes, I’ve decided to create a future one for the 2016 election. Barack Obama has been elected to a second term. There is a Republican House and a Republican Senate, though both are extremely close and nothing can get done without bi-partisan corporation. We are completely out of Iraq, and mostly out of Afghanistan. The Taliban has been defeated, but Al Qaeda hasn't. There are growing tensions between Iran, and Israel which both have nuclear weapons. Obamacare has little effect, and social security is an issue. Unemployement at 6 percent. Growing tensions with North Korea. Social Security is also a big issue.

Democrats
Hillary Clinton- SE Lt. Gov tb75
Andrew Cuomo- Rochambeau
Russ Feingold- Hubert Humphrey
Alexi Giannoulias- sirnick

Bobby Jindal- hantheguitarman
Scott Brown- justW353
Sarah Palin- Sewer Socialist
Eric Cantor- A-bob

At the steps of the state capitol of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Bobby Jindal holds a rally, televised by major news networks and streamed online to major news websites and Bobby Jindal’s own website. He steps up to the podium to make a speech to the thousands of cheering Bobby Jindal supporters.

“Good morning, Louisiana!

I am here today to declare my candidacy for the Republican nomination for the President of the United States of America. It is clear that despite honest efforts from both parties, our nation is still facing problems that have not been fixed. To fix these problems, the United States needs a leader who is willing to make swift, decisive, and effective action. That leader will have to be willing to cross party lines to enact common sense policies that will benefit the nation. I believe that with my experience, I can be this national leader, and I will dedicate myself to fixing the problems that afflict our nation today.

As President, I will walk the walk, and not talk the talk. I will provide solutions, not just rhetoric. I will cut taxes across the board and cut spending, not merely talk about it and do the opposite, as some Republicans in the past have done. The size of the Federal Government has increased for years, and a Jindal Administration will shrink the size of the Federal Government, whether Republicans and Democrats in D.C. like it or not. By shrinking the federal government and shrinking federal spending, we shall reduce the federal deficit tremendously. It’s simply unfair that we are increasing the national debt, and leaving our future generations to pay the price. To help cut spending, I will do whatever it takes to eliminate fraud, waste, and corruption from both parties. Now a Jindal Administration will not give one ounce of concern as to who is a Democrat and who is a Republican. If you have good ideas, I will listen to them regardless of what party you belong to. If you have bad ideas, I will soundly reject them regardless of what party you belong to. As President, my biggest objective will be to ensure that this great nation will stay on the path of prosperity, as I am one hundred percent certain that our better days lie ahead.

As an Indian American, I never once believed that there was something I couldn’t do. I never once believed, that success wasn’t available to me because I was Indian. I never once believed, that being an Indian precluded me from opportunity. I’ve had these opportunities and these successes for one simple reason: I’m an American. Americans can do anything: there are no limits to what we can do. We are a nation of opportunity, of liberty, and of success. We are the greatest nation on the Earth, and I intend to keep it that way. As President, I will ensure that future generations will have the same opportunities that I had; that future generations will experience the same freedoms and rights that we have been blessed with.

Thank you for listening. God bless you. God bless Louisiana. And God bless America.”

Jindal’s announcement is met with thunderous applause and cheering from the crowd.

Sue Lowden is participating in a townhall meeting in Reno, Nevada, when she was asked by a middle-aged woman...

Senator Lowden, are you going to run for President? We could sure use a woman President.

Lowden considers the question carefully, and then chooses her answer

Let's just say, I won't rule a run out. I'd like to see some of the other candidates in the race before making a final decision. Most importantly, I'll have to find out what my constituents want, and I'll go from there.

Governor Scott Phillip Brown appears at Faneuil Hall in Boston, where he announces his candidacy for the Presidency of the United States of America.

Excerpt:
My fellow Americans, it is time for new leadership in Washington.  Today, I want to speak to you about Washington.  Washington represents what is the best of this nation, and the worst flaws of America.  Washington is more than a city or a great capitol; it is a symbol of this nation and all we can accomplish.  It is a system of government that for so long stood for the common man.  That system has been corrupted.

Washington is no longer a symbol of the people.  It is now a symbol of a flawed, unsustainable, corrupt system.  This system cannot stand.  We know what we can do if the public servants of this country serve the people who elected them.  It is time for that American ideal to rise once again from the ashes.  It is time for the government to work for the people, not the other way around.

I was born in the town of Kittery, Maine.  I was raised in Wakefield, Massachusetts.  These towns are not on the public map in the way Washington is.  However, they are also symbols.  They are symbols of the common person; the everyday American who is happy with their life.  The person who knows that the government is not the answer to every problem.

I am here to announce my candidacy for President of the United States.  I am running for the people in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and other towns throughout the country.  For years, their anger and frustration have been ignored by both parties.  It is time for that to change.  Our system is flawed, but it is not broken.  We will renew the belief that all Americans have a say in what their government does.  The road ahead will be long and winding, however, I am confident that with your support, true change can come to Washington.

(he continues the speech)

Senator Alexi Giannoulias at his Presidential campaign announcement event.

"President Barack Obama is part of our generation of Americans, a generation that grew up with the Internet, that grew up without the constant fear of a nuclear apocalypse, in an age of tolerance, in an age where where one picture across the world within seconds of it being taken can impact millions of lives but we also, unfortunately, live in an age where our freedom is threatened more by terrorism than other nations. It is time to once again elect a leader that speaks for our generation--which is why I am announcing my candidacy for President of the United States."

Senator Giannoulias announces that he will travel to Iowa for a tour of the state beginning the next day.

Bobby Jindal releases a television commercial broadcasted all across the nation.

(Screenshots of money, Capitol Hill, and of bills being signed with red ink)

Over the past 8 years, the reckless spenders in Washington D.C. have increased the deficit without any sense of fiscal responsibility, mortgaging our children’s future.

(Video of Bobby Jindal smiling, talking with people, and working in his office)

Only Bobby Jindal, who turned Louisiana’s Medicaid program’s $400 million deficit into a $220 million surplus, and who vetoed $16 million in non-governmental and governmental projects, has the leadership necessary to reign in the big spenders, and bring fiscal responsibility to Washington D.C.

Hi, I’m Bobby Jindal, and I approve this message.”

Sen. Russ Feingold's Announcement Speech
Janesville, Wisconsin
January 8, 2015

Good morning everyone,

Today, I'm ready to announce my candidacy for President of the United States. This is by no means an easy commitment for me to make, and it comes after months of deliberation. However, I have concluded that this country needs bold, independent, and progressive leadership, which is why I'm running for President!

These past 8 years have been a time of great progress for America. Under President Obama, we've created the framework for universal health care, brought our troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan, restored our good name in the world, and re-established economic security and stability. While these are great accomplishments, America can and needs to do much better. Despite this administration's best efforts, corporate greed continues to tighten its stranglehold over our political and economic system. Special interest money and lobbyists have infiltrated Washington, and this has resulted in partisan gridlock and political foot dragging on both sides of the aisle. It's high time we had a President who isn't afraid to tell these corporate cronies and their lobbyists to get lost because this is a government for and by the American people! In short, this country needs a people's champion in the White House. However, by no means can I do this alone. That's why I'm counting on you, the American people, to organize and form a national movement that will not only win this election, but that will continue to advocate for progressive change well beyond this election. So America, will you join me?

The speech ends with thunderous applause and cheering. Sen. Feingold then goes to Milwaukee to officially open his national campaign head quarters and meet with his campaign staff and inner circle.

Russ Feingold's national campaign office opens in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also meets with Paul Tewes, his campaign manager, and other members of his inner circle including Joe Trippi, Jonathan Prince, Jim Dean, and Nathan Daschle.

Campaign signs and literature are also printed. The campaign slogans are "Russ Feingold: The People's Champion" and "Russ Feingold: Bold, Independent, Progressive".

He then flies to Des Moines to give a speech

In Des Moines, Russ Feingold lays out his plan for universal health care.

"During his time in office, President Obama has been able to establish the framework for universal health care. While this was an important step in the right direction, it's high time we moved beyond the framework for universal health care and actually establish a system of universal health care. When I'm President, I will inject new competition into the health care system by creating either a national Medicare Buy-In or a new public health insurance option. I will also hold insurance companies accountable and keep costs down with the creation of a Health Insurance Rate Authority. Finally, I will reign in the power of health insurance companies by repealing their exemption from trust laws and further tighten regulations.

After this speech and a Q&A session, Feingold opens his Iowa campaign head quarter. He then goes to Manchester, New Hampshire to give another speech. Also, building off of MyBO's success, the Feingold campaign launches myrussfeingold.com (a.k.a. MyRF). MyRF allows for Feingold supporters across the country to organize events canvasses, phone banks, voter registration drives, get into contact with campaign staff, provide the campaign with information on strategy and policy, and much more. In short, Feingold hopes to build a bottom-up grassroots campaign!

In New York city, Hilary Clinton makes a not surprising announcement:

"Today i am announcing my candidacy for President of the United States. Despite closely losing the last time, i believe the American people are ready to have another Clinton in the White house. There is several issues that require a strong leader, and i believe that i am the only one who can take on these issues. But i need each and every one of your votes. Thank you, and let's make a step in the right direction!"

Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Gov. Howard Dean endorse Russ Feingold at a rally in Manchester, NH. They cite his plan for universal health care, his grassroots campaign, and his bold, independent, and progressive record in the senate.

Feingold then went to Concord to open his NH campaign head quarters and give a press conference. During the press conference, Feingold unveils his plan for reforming America's trade policy. Feingold says that the issue of fair trade has "been largely ignored these past 8 years," and pledged to aggressively renegotiate NAFTA and CAFTA so that they protect the environment, worker's rights, and domestic industry. Feingold said he'd consider canceling them as an absolute last resort, but would prefer not to. Feingold also pledged to make passing the Employee Free Choice Act one of the top priorities during his first term. When asked about Hillary Clinton's entrance into the race, Feingold said that he welcomed her candidacy and looked forward to the contest ahead.

Feingold is now scheduled to go to a rally in Portland, Maine.

Bobby Jindal Jindal is slated to make a campaign tour all across the nation. He and his campaign team want to campaign in all fifty states. However, they have not revealed Jindal’s campaign strategy to the public, so that Jindal can back out of a fifty state strategy if need be.

Bobby Jindal’s first campaign stop is in Iowa, spending the day campaigning with Mike Huckabee, who has given Jindal his endorsement (and who won the Iowa Caucus in 2008). Mike Huckabee and his band, Capitol Offense play a few songs in order to draw more people to the event.

(Mike Huckabee) It is clear that the nation is in need of a strong leader to guide them through the rough times that America is facing right now. Bobby Jindal is the man to lead the nation in these times. He understands that the United States is one nation under God, and he will respect that as President! I full heartedly support him, and I have complete and utter confidence that he can lead the nation! I strongly urge all of you to vote for Bobby Jindal in the primaries! Without further ado, here is the next President of the United States, Bobby Jindal!

(Cheering and applause)

(Bobby Jindal) Thank you Mike! You're a great man, and a great governor, and that band sure sounds fantastic! Hello, Iowa! It’s great to be with you here in this great state today! Boy, isn’t it beautiful day today? Everywhere I go, I see people struggling to pay their bills, struggling to survive in the economy, and struggling to by health insurance. This is not right! Americans deserve much better than this! Politicians from the left and right claim: ‘give us your money, and we’ll help you.’ Time and time again we fall for it, and time and time again we find that our money has not provided a solution. The Democrats told us that their health bill, despite the fact that it raised taxes, would provide more coverage for the entire country. Yet, despite this health bill, I have seen countless people go without health insurance. The problem is, that there’s no accountability in government anymore, and we don’t know what programs or departments are actually efficient and effective. As President, I will sign an executive order, mandating an audit of every Federal Department, to see what we can cut, and what we can’t. With your help, we shall provide transparency in the government of the greatest nation of the world! We shall bring fiscal responsibility, and I shall reign in spending and cut taxes for the people of this great nation! I’m Bobby Jindal, and God bless you, God bless the United States of America, and God bless Iowa!”

Senator Sue Lowden holds a rally in Boulder City, Nevada. There were approximately 400 people in attendance, packed inside a small gym. Standing beside Ms. Lowden was her husband, Paul, and her children; Christopher, Jennifer, Paul IV, and William. Also there were Congressmen Heller and Porter, as well as Senator John Ensign and Governor Brian Sandoval. All major Republican officeholders in Nevada were there, so something was obviously about to happen...

Struggling Americans and Nevadans know that the time for hope and change is long past. But the time for real solutions has come. The White House still hasn't figured it out. It's the place of grand speeches and poll-tested promises. Unfortunately, too many promises have been broken, priorities misplaced and opportunities squandered.

Today, we have higher unemployment, higher debt and hardworking Americans continue to be separated from their homes in record numbers. Washington puts too much of a financial burden on American families, and spend more than they receive. A fun fact – if you evenly distributed our debt amongst Americans, each Nevada taxpayer would be saddled with over $100,000 of debt. It's too late to simply freeze government spending – we must cut spending across the board.

I am proud to have outlined real solutions to real problems as a Senator. From outlining a jobs plan to providing more affordable and accessible health care, my campaign has focused on not just issues – but solutions. My plans are backed not just by promises, but by a record of action and progress.

Government growth and personal freedom do not go hand-in-hand. It's time for Washington to know that Americans choose more freedom over more government. We need a leader, a President, who will implement these great ideas. I, Sue Lowden, stand before you today announcing my candidacy for President of the United States of America. I will also simultaneously be running for reelection as your Senator. Because the fact is, Americans cannot afford four more years of reckless spending and mounting tax hikes. The people on the left and right of me will all be accompanying me along the way, as I hope to learn more about the stories and lives of Americans all across this country. Join me, and together, let's make America great again. Thank you, and God Bless you all!

Bobby Jindal goes on Rush Limbaugh’s radio talk show (Limbaugh lives in Costa Rica, but his show is still broadcast across the nation). Both of them talk through the phone.

(Rush Limbaugh) We’re on live, with Bobby Jindal, Governor of Louisiana. He is a great Governor, a great conservative, and is the next Ronald Reagan. He is running for President, and I fully endorse him, and I suggest you go out and vote for him at the primaries? So why have the Democrats taken control of the White House for eight years now, Governor Jindal? Why have LIBERALS dominated the White House for the past eight years?

(Bobby Jindal) Well, when the Republicans last had control of the White House, we tremendously increased the deficit, and did things that we would never accept from a Democrat in office. America never changed; it has always remained a center-right country and polls show this time and time again.

(Rush Limbaugh) Can’t disagree with you there. So why have Americans fallen for the traps that liberals provide?

(Bobby Jindal) However, people began to see the Democratic Party as the party of limited government, limited spending, and limited taxes, because we were only talking the talk, and not walking the walk. On top of that, we have been nominating candidates who were only able to provide conservative ideas, not conservative solutions.

(Rush Limbaugh) Exactly! Because you had John McCain, and Mitt Romney! Neither of them were true conservatives! They just spewed rhetoric and if elected, both of them would have been liberals! Go on.

(Bobby Jindal) I promise that, as President, I will provide common sense solutions to every day problems, not just ideas.

(Rush Limbaugh) Tell us one specific conservative solution that you propose

(Bobby Jindal) When the Republicans controlled the White House, people struggled to get health insurance. Now the Democrats took advantage of this, and promised to expand health coverage through universal health care. Now we, the Republicans knew that universal healthcare was a bad idea, and would never work, but we did not supply a cohesive, conservative countersolution to “Obamacare.” As a result, “Obamacare” has been passed, and people still are struggling to get health insurance, and to bring costs down. Here is my plan to provide health care for America.

1. Give individuals and small businesses the opportunities that large businesses and the government have to seek lower insurance costs
2.. Allow portability in the realm of health insurance. Allow consumers to “own” their policies. If you want to get your health insurance in Alaska, you can, regardless of where you live.
3. Bring about tort reform
4. Require coverage of preexisting conditions
5. Mandate transparency and payment reform from insurance companies. We must reward efficiency and quality.
6. Allow for tax-free health savings accounts
7. Reward healthy lifestyle choices by providing premium rebates and other incentives to people who make healthy choices
8. Permit young people to stay on their parents' plans longer
9. Give refundable tax credits (for the uninsured and those who would benefit from greater flexibility of coverage)

If we implemented these conservative policies, then I believe that health insurance will be much cheaper!

(Rush Limbaugh) Sounds like a plan! Maybe I can move back to the United States! Unfortunately, that’s all we have time for! Well there you have it folks! Bobby Jindal is the next Ronald Reagan, and I don’t just say that about anybody! If he was alive, I have no doubt in my mind that the Gipper would be out there campaigning vigorously for Bobby Jindal! He is the new face of the Republican Party, and he’s ready to lead! Vote Bobby Jindal!

(Bobby Jindal) Thank you for all the kind words, Rush. My best wishes!

Governor Meg Whitman makes a speech at a Woman's Right's rally in San Diego, California...

America has had 44 Presidents, coming from all parties, with all sorts of backgrounds. What do all of them have in common? They all have been men. Now, don't get me wrong, I love men. I'm even married to one. But we've never had a woman. And ladies, that ain't a good thing. We've had female candidates come and go, but none of them ever managed to shatter that glass ceiling. Well, I think our wait may be over, because we finally have a candidate who can shatter that glass ceiling. She and I differ on some issues, which means she isn't perfect. Wink But she shares the same vision I do for making America a stronger and safer nation. Today, I am announcing my endorsement of Sue Lowden for President of the United States of America, and I encourage all of you to join me when the primary season rolls around to California by voting for Sue Lowden. Let's shatter that glass ceiling once and for all!
