I have no clue what net Neutrality is or why it is an important issue.

Google exists to correct your ignorance on pretty much any subject you can think of.

The FCC has no power to do most of the BS they do.

FCC is probably the most pointless regulatory agency in Washington right now and that's saying a lot.  It had a purpose--somewhat--back when AT&T owned all the phones and there were only three TV channels, but over the past thirty years it has had nothing better to do than go on should-be-unconstitutional witchhunts in the private sector.

Net neutrality was the FCC's last stand to try and have a purpose. That's done.

If the FCC were abolished tomorrow, nothing would change in telecommunications.  So why spend money on it?

I wouldn't go that far.  The FCC is needed to keep frequencies regulated.  I know I'm normally Mr. Noregulation, but some things need regulated.  Maybe a private group could do the job just as good or better, but some group needs to be in charge of it.

There's a solution to that without regulation: make the frequencies property. Government and existing users own their frequency range for their area like a piece of land and then if it gets crowded they can sue for trespassing.  The management of frequencies after "homesteading" them will then go on like real estate.

Maybe that would have worked if we started out that way, but it's way too late for that kind of change now.

(and many frequencies are basically "property" that gets auto renewed every so often)

I agree with the court's ruling. The FCC had a terrible case, and unfortunately, Comcast won.

As I understand it, it did start that way & the government only decided to stick its nose in after some time had passed. It could work if the courts were directed to establish legally recognized property rights for the frequencies currently held & only after that was done the FCC was booted out the door.

This can be fixed with legislation.  Normally I'd be pessimistic, but the Net Neutrality people have some heavy hitters on their side, including Sony, Google, and Apple.  Comcast at least has one hell of a fight still ahead of it before they can get that tiered Internet they've been having wet dreams about for 20 years.

Good. The FCC needs to go and be replaced with something reasonable.

You want unregulated frequencies?  It's just not possible.  Some (not all) frequencies HAVE to be kept clean.  Period.

...unless you want planes to get lost...your favorite radio station to come and go...douchebags blowing up your CB equipment...your computer monitor going all fuzzy everytime your neighbor talks on the phone...a million other things.
